Shrunk (Honey, I Shrunk the Kids sequel)

A third sequel rather than a reboot. Josh Gad plays Wayne Szalinski's son. He follows in his father's footsteps by becoming a scientist. And accidentally shrinking his kids. Joe Johnston, director of the original (but neither other sequel), is in talks to return. They were originally considering doing this for Disney+, but the suits reckon it's worthy of a theatrical run.

I predict HObbit levels of CG, quips and none of the disgustuing charm of the original

 

edit: OMFG that's who they replaced Ric Moranis with? One of the most instantly likable stars ever with some incredibly punchable looking choob?
