Nope, never. I think I last had Gold in 2012. I'm not logged in or anything, and it says it includes Gold and then flips to full billing after the third month. https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/p/xbox-game-pass-ultimate/cfq7ttc0khs0

The conversion offer has never been terribly explicit.

It only makes it clear when you complete the signup the effect on your current Xbox live membership

Great show to attend. Played some Starwars but it didn't have Invert Y and my session was on the big screen :hmm:

Also missed Spencer's meet and greet while I was making a cunt of myself.

Next up... E3 sometime...

Now away to the casino to get blootered xx

Some more good news on Game Pass...

So, I could grab that 1 month trial of EA Access, play and finish Jedi Falling Order, and then go back to ignoring EA Access until they put out another decent game in ten years give or take? Or is there a catch?

Sounds like this event was shit, but what's been announced is mind-blowing: all that stuff on Game Pass? All the FF, the Yakuzas, SoR4 and much more? Game Pass is incredible

Shame about that Obsidian game though, it's exactly the kind of game I don't like at all. Was hoping for something more along the lines of Alpha Protocol :)

They aren't putting Fallen Order on EA pass are they? Some flannel a out spoilers getting out.

I thought that was just about not having a 10 hour trial? Isn't the game proper on EA Access? What's the bloody point of EA Access then if they only put old games up? Have EA not seen Game Pass? Have they not tried playing their own games recently?

Oh god no, they never put new games up on there in full (at least I don't think they do....) It's EA, if people can only get their games for 45 quid why would they give them away for like 2 quid for a months sub? Although you DO get a discount on them if you have EA/Origin access :p

Game Pass had basically shown pretty much everyone up for a bunch of dickheads when it comes to services like this.

To be fair, EA Access is only £20 a year, so you can't blame them for not putting new games up

Also this. I do wonder if EA didn't have the power of their convictions with it and so undervalued it and now they can't really raise the price to be in line with Game Pass (sans bonkers offer discounts) to include new releases without looking worse than they already do.

Game Pass is £1 for three years and they put new games up!

If you have the gold subs already. Otherwise it's like 150 quid for 3 years. I get your point though.

Very pleased with the games shown, the smaller  studio games nearly all appealed to me and another great reason for game pass. Making room for the new studios to do small projects alongside the big IP is great.

And eventually ultimate becomes £160?/year. Though I’d have paid £40 for gold, and bought a couple of Microsoft games anyway.

In hindsight it was a bit strange for this to be sponsored by Fortnite and then end up being a big advert for rivals to the Epic Store in a lot of ways.

Gamepass for PC isn't on the same level as the console version yet but they announced a whole lot of good stuff for it last night. 2020 looks like it's going to be Microsoft's strongest year on PC in ages.

You at least used to get 10 hours' trial of some new games on EA access. That was enough to get what enjoyment there is out of most EA games really, so I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped it.

You still do, plus they release it a few days early. I have the 10 hour trial of the new Need for Speed for example.

On PC you can get Orign Access Premier, for £90 a year, which includes all latest releases. Standard ,is the Vault, which is back catalogue, and older new games.

Also, Rage 2 is on PC game pass :)

Good event.  Lines not too long by and large except for flight simulator and the merchandise.  As usual got shown up by some young kids on mine craft dungeon (I blame KB + Mouse).  New obsidian kid shrunk game looks neat and not over simplistic .  Scored 12 months free game pass plus from the wall comp which is a nice bonus.

Full game is on EA Access Ultimate on PC.

No trial or full game on xbox EA access.

The what?

Sorry, phone curtness creeping in.  There is a pachinko type competition there where you specify which hole you want a baseball (I think it is) dropped from and it ricochets down the wall between pins, landing in one or other slot at the bottom.  Most slots yielded 1 month GP, a couple were for 3 month cards and a single central one was for 12 months.  The guy before me scored the 12 month card by going for a central starting point and I did the same, just one over from him (F for Freddy).  The guy dropping the ball flicked it to his right (my left) and that ensured it came back firmly off the outer pins.

Its a good reward for me coz my gold expires next month and I've given up gamepass.

I also got an adapter to hold the phone for streaming when that goes live.

The new elite is wonderfully heavy to hold and has a lot of moving parts.

They have some event specific merchandise on sale such as the controller people were after but stocks of it seem limited.

Bit of a strange venue since there is nothing much there, but on the other hand there was lots of space inside and all the eating / drinking options you care to name 10 minutes away in Westfield.
