Some episodes didn't really contain anything I haven't seen before (drum machines, synths, sampling) but I found the episodes about reverb and distortion interesting and Ronson is a cool although slightly weird dude who has worked with more people than I realized (Queens of the Stone Age).
Indy @ S.E.
Anyone else watched See? I really enjoyed the first series and have just finished the second, it really ramps everything up a notch. Some great looking sets and aurally it’s awesome when listening through Atmos with the volume up. Storyline is a bit flexible though lol. Season finale was a banger, providing one of the best final sentences while dying I’ve heard for a long time 😂😂
V3zna
Apple TV + is on a really bad run. Foundation and Invasion are not good, season 2 of The Morning Show is all over the place, season 2 of Servant was clearly made up as they went along and I’ve not been able to get through season 2 of See yet. They are throwing a lot of money at crap.

Yeah Morning Show season 2 hasn’t grabbed in the way the first one did, if it wasn’t for Ted Lasso I don’t think I’d be that bothered, although at least it’s cheaper than Netflix which these days is the biggest pile of shit ever, and I pay something like £14 per month
ZOK
Well, Apple TV+ is a third of the price of Netflix, and has around a hundredth of the content Netflix has that’s worth watching. So if you’re going on that measure, Netflix represents an incredible bargain.
Gotters
Morning show second season appears to be pretty Covid hit in terms of actor availability with some very dodgy wigs and back of head shots with over dubbed voice overs. It's been pretty easy to see where things are going so far and we've got a guess about what is going on with Steve Carrell in Italy too. Spoiler Our guess is he spills his guts in this 'passing the time of day' interview which he just happened to agree to being filmed for practice purposes, will catch the plague and cark it in the epicentre of the early days European breakout and then his storyline ramifications can continue long beyond the grave into future seasons as the footage gets released. Don't know if Steve Carrell signed for a second season initially and whether they got the idea to graft this covid storyline on as things started panning out in the real world, and he may have been unexpectedly available for a few days shooting independently of all the other cast. footle
The first episode of swagger was ok, enough for me to move onto the second. foundation was always a weird one to choose to adapt: it’s a set of short stories with very limited roll forward of any given character between each story until second foundation, and most of the stories are resolved through pressure of off page events. pledge
Of course they want to you to use an app, but as I've been trying to watch Jon Stewart on my PC whilst working realised how little effort they put in to tv.apple.com. There's no search at all. There's not even an A-Z directory of shows. It doesn't have the continue watching (Up Next) section. You just have to hope that the show you want to watch appears on the page somewhere and guess what category they might have put it under. Even searching the page often is useless as it will be on another section of the stupid carousel (and of course no text on the page just in the images). sandman
The app on iPad is atrocious when watching a download show. Its so poorly designed compared to Netflix or Prime. It’s pretty much on par with iPlayer which is insane when you consider who developed it.
ZOK
I quite like the app (well, the version that’s on LG) - the only issue I’ve found is it can’t remember where you are up to in a programme, but that’s it really.
Mogster
I agree that The Morning Show has been more uneven this season, but I've still really enjoyed it. I thought the latest episode was superb.
Bazjam
The PS5 app is a pain in the arse. Doesn’t remember where you are in a show, and like to freeze for 5 seconds every now and then.
JohnC
LG will be giving 3 month trials for owners of TVs from 2016 or later. But you won't be able to get it if you've already had a trial. Available from 15 November. https://www.lgnewsroom.com/2021/11/lg-to-offer-customers-apple-tv-three-month-trial/

Vespa Alex
Giving Finch a go tonight. About half way through, and it’s pretty much what you’d expect from a post apocalyptic Tom Hanks film. Entertaining enough, but not going to change your life.

Fierce Poodle
Yeah I liked Finch too. Probably a bit too twee and sentimental for some, a bit like a lite version of The Road, but fun and surprisingly touching.

Garibaldi
I found Finch to be slick enough, and Hanks does the best he can as a one man show, but it was all so utterly predictable that I could’ve watched the trailer and had almost the same experience. Even now my brain is struggling to hold onto specific details about it all.

I like Jennifer Anniston but this is really showing limitations to what she can do (at least in my eyes) - she plays much of the role pretty well but the heavy dramatic stuff and crying she just can't do, and it's jarringly bad. I thought this weeks episode was terrible, awful dialogue, badly acted (Chip in particular) and the story was quite ludicrous of the how the news was 'breaking' whilst they were on air, with Chip able to drive all round NY freely during peak rush hour (pre covid lock downs too so things all normal)

Anniston is definitely a very limited actor. But you always get the impression that this role is pretty close to home for her, so her limitations aren't too big of a problem for me. I also wondered about the time line of it all. But some of these morning shows go on for bleeding hours, and by the time the announcement was made it looked like they had gone onto their next show (like when BBC morning switches to Lorraine Kelly). Either way I'm pretty forgiving. It's not the kind of show that hangs it's hat on realism. The whole thing is pretty soap opera. I thought the rest was great though. A return to the high tension live TV drama that made this so watchable in the first place. Had some great laughs amongst all the tension as well. The way Crudup called for his flunky to come clean up vomit had me in switches.
Mogster
I really like The Morning Show, but I do think the second season has felt a lot looser than the first. The first season had a clear point it was building towards, getting better as it went, while this season has been far more character driven, and indeed a bit "soapy" at times. I was surprised to see that people didn't like the previous episode. I thought it was by far the best of the season and absolutely not "unbelievably bad". I think that despite his relatively brief screen time, Mitch has been by far the most interesting character in the show.
GwiDan
I’m surprised and a little disappointed at the direction they’ve taken the Mitch storyline. It was one of the main aspects of the show that wasn’t complete fluff, and now there’s a lot of fluff. Billy Crudup has been the one part of the programme that has been excellent throughout, and really raises the quality of the series as a whole.
