Yeah, I really enjoyed Bad Sisters. The ending was great too.

JP was just the ultimate hate sink. Fuuuck, he was such a prick.

JP is by a distance the most detestable villain on TV since Joffrey on Game of Thrones.

I think it’s his incessant use of the word ‘mammy’ that really twists the knife.

Cheers for the recommendation!
The other half and myself started watching Defending Jacob last night and watched 4 of the 8 episodes I think.

Some stellar performances so far, especially from Jacob.

I have never used Apple TV before so forgive my stupid questions.

I don't need to subscribe to Apple TV plus to rent or buy a film, correct?

Also, why does Apple TV have so many more films available in 4k than Amazon? is it a case of Apple paying to have them converted or something?

A second season of The Mosquito Coast just started. I stuck out the first season, but more out of bloody-mindedness than genuine engagement. I just assumed it had been quietly consigned to the bin.

I think this is one of the few duds they've had. Justin Theroux is usually amazing, but he cant' save this. It is just so boring.

We're rinsing Apple TV+ as another free trial period ends soon.

Causeway, a movie starring Jennifer Lawrence is decent.

Black Bird, as has been discussed previously in here, is really really good.

We're currently watching Five Days at Memorial, which I've not seen discussed in here. It's about the five days following Hurricane Katrina at Memorial Hospital in NOLA. Grimly compelling and gripping, but with some characters and scenes straight from a direct to DVD melodrama.

Just finished Blackbird, really really enjoyed it.  I've not really made the most of my 5 months free, with only that and Ted Lasso watched.  What one series would you suggest to watch in the next couple of weeks?

If you're a Sky VIP customer then you can claim a free six-month subscription to Apple TV+ at present. If you're already with Apple TV+ then it stacks on an existing subscription.

I joined Apple TV+ last spring and have yet to pay a single penny, and now have it gratis until the autumn as well. :)
