I've watched the first two and it's decent enough. The premise is that there's a murder and every episode shows what happened from the perspective of a different character. And the style of the episode matches the character - first one plays like a rom com, second one like a Fast and Furious movie. It's not as creative or inventive as I was thought it would be with the L+M involvement but I'll probably watch a few more.

The third episode brought the Lord and Miller stuff I was expecting - a musical episode. This is good fun.

I’m not finding it gut-wrenchingly funny, but The Afterparty is very likeable some how. The ‘Two Shots’ song was great, particularly the verse about Eric Stoltz.

Anyone watching Severance? Very stylish dystopian weird sci-if show in which people working for a seemingly shady organisation undergo a surgical procedure to separate their brain into work life and personal life dual personalities. I’m only on episode 2 but it’s got its hooks in me.

Started The After Party this week and it's bloody brilliant. Seen as far as Chelsea's story, but Yasper's was incredible. I loathed Ben Schwartz in both Parks and Rec and Space Force but I think it was just the characters he was playing. Yasper is similar in his style but friendly and likable not arseholey and vapid. The songs were amazing.

No firm idea as to whodunnit yet but I'm thinking

Spoiler

Aniq, because he seems too nice to not be the killer.

Jamie Demetriou was a surprise. Was not expecting that accent at all. His lines in the Two Shots song were hilarious.

This is how my brain works normally. I find it very hard to remember what I did last night when at work, and hard to recall my work day when I get home. But I remember home events at home and work events at work no problem.

EDIT: And it's not a comedy? Even with Adam Scott in it?

It kind of is a comedy in the work setting, or like a piss take anyway. Give it a try it’s really good :)

Whaaaaaat? Danner is about to announce the killer and it ends and that’s it? No more episodes? What the fuck.

If you mean The After Party then I think you've just caught up. They release new episodes every friday and I'm sure (I hope) that last weeks wasn't the last episode.

Is the A+ app as bad on other platforms as on our LG TV? Besides generally being horribly slow, including some deliberate UI decisions that make it even worse, it fails with spurious playback errors half the time - e.g. while watching Tehran, it would generally fail every episode after the recap, and then pressing play again would resume after the recap and now work.

We're on a 3 month trial, via LG, and the dreadful UX and slim selection of content is not exactly inspiring me to pay for it afterwards, particularly after having just used Disney+ for a couple of months.

Also running on LG TV and the app is terrible for us as well. Getting crashes, streaming stopping in the same place etc, not to mention the nasty UI and very limited content.

It's only just hanging in there for me. Only reason I'm keeping it is for Severance at the moment.

I use it on my LG and haven't had any of these issues. Well, aside from the slim selection of content. They made it a bit easier to see what is "free with Apple+" and what isn't recently, which helped a bit, but everything is still waaaaay too big and finding a list of episodes of a show seems entirely random - play next episode? Easy. Look at a list? No idea.

But *technically*, it's neither slow nor buggy. If you want an app that breaks the stream and randomly restarts or crashes during the adverts, take a look at All4.

It's literally worse than the All4 app for us, and I do realise that in streaming app terms that's the equivalent of worse than Hitler.

I wonder if it's better on newer LG models. Ours is a B6 so not exactly current.

I use the native app on an LG CX and it has zero issues for me, excellent picture quality, no streaming problems.

It’s OK, except when you’ve bought a whole series (as in multiple seasons) with a lot of episodes, and have to scroll through them all every time to get to the one you’re on because the ‘next episode’ link on the home screen has got stuck at a point 20 episodes before and never changes.

I hadn't signed in to Apple TV+ for a long time, so was surprised to see a whole load of new shows, all with big name Hollywood stars in starring roles.

Slow Horses, starring Gary Oldman

WeCrashed, starring Anne Hathaway and Jared Leto

The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey, starring Samuel L Jackson

The Shrink Next Door, starring Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd

Anybody seen anything good on the service recently?

Severance is the best thing on TV since Succession - amazingly tense and all 9 eps now available.
