Regarding the snes core, everyone was saying "it wouldn't fit" on the pocket?

What has changed to make it fit? I assume it needs different cores for different subchips like the SuperFX?

Dunno... but Chrono Trigger works fucking great

Originally Open FPGA was thought to give access to only the Cyclone 10 on the board, which is pretty small, but when it came out it gave access to the Cyclone V as well, which is much bigger.

I didn't realise that. That makes it a much more exciting proposition. Isn't the Cyclone V the same FPGA as the Mister?

I'm no expert, but I don't think it's as big as the one on the MiSTer, so there may be some things it can't do. It's plenty capable of lots of good stuff still.

Edit: checked and the MiSTer has 110k gates vs the Pocket's 64k gates (counting both chips). No idea what difference that makes to what can fit on MiSTer but not the Pocket.

Has anyone had theirs ship yet?

I got a "prepared for shipping" email on the 17th of October but haven't had anything since then.

I was in Group A so have had mine a while. My status never changed to Shipped though. I just got a notification one morning from Fed Ex that it was out for delivery.

So this arrived today, I went for the full package with dock, protective case, screen protector and GG adapter. I’m reticent to open it though based on the eBay prices, it seems to be a grand+ for this bundle and I could do with the money. But the fpga and different cores make it a pretty good device for running most things. Arrrhg decisions!

They might do another run and if you need the money you might as well take it. Depends if you are struggling!

Not being able to buy the cart adapters separately is bad enough but 60USD postage to the UK is a hard line for me. Absolutely bananas.

I know I'm a little late in offering this, but I will be in the US 1st week of December and could have this delivered to my hotel (or a friend's house in the US) and bring it back with me.  If a few folks want them, it might be a worthwhile endeavour to save multiple $60 postage fees.   Let me know if you're interested.

I paid about £84 for pocket, dock, hard case, Game Gear adapter and screen protector. So it should be a bit less if it’s just a pocket.

What’s annoying is paying tax on the value of the order now vs a year a go, where it would be about £10 less
