Keystone Kapers C64 port

Recommended Posts

Exciting news for those of us who enjoyed the recent Chopper Command port.

While many of you had the chance to play the stonkingly good Atari to C64 conversion of Chopper Command by Antonio Savona, Steven Day, Saul Cross and Flemming Martins which was released only recently. It looks as if we will have another game to enjoy in their conversion line up, because as of this weekend we've learnt they are also working on a full Atari to C64 conversion of the 1983 game 'Keystone Kapers'

It's pretty good - the earlier conversion known as Rent-a-Cop was fun, but this is great. Loving the subtle updates to the graphics, and a very jolly tune (which you can turn off with the left-arrow/tilde key)

I finally got some time to play this and it's very good. Managed to get up to the last level (16, the one where things move so fast that on old TVs the objects would leave glowing phosphor trails in their wake.)

My best score 50,700.
