Same, even though the plot is nonsense its actually a better story than the original series.

"Ah heat! *dives into fire* "Obi, what... what are you doing?"

Spoiler

I had to clean my TV at that point as I spat beer all over it.

Not watching a random YT reaction video without some basic idea of its content. Care to give a summary of the video and which parts you agree with?

It's actually decent. There's no anti woke bullshit, it's just a review of the series comedically shitting on all the inconsistencies. Like a poor mans Star Wars Plinkett review.

So, the video shits on the inconsistencies of the entire series, but the title of the video is focused on the character played by a black woman? I remain unconvinced of its merits, but then I am not someone who habitually watches reaction videos so I am not the target audience by a long shot.

New Larry is finally here!

YouTube video thumbnail is a bit spoilery for the actual show:

They went out with a bang with this one. Still better than the actual show.

A few notable bits: "ready spaghetti!" made me spit out beer. But the part that really had me going:

The location name change bit on Lava World was a great piss take of that bit in Rings of Power. Big, deep laughs at that one.

I also really like how they cut from Luke saying it all sounded like bollocks about the magic powers thing, right back to Obi ineffectually rolling around again before smacking Anakin on the head. It felt like it was supposed to show how everything after the first rolling about was just Larry's fantasy.

Also in the background as Anakin is walking away "what is this feeling, I think it might be... Hope?"

And the shuttle car locking sound. All great stuff.

Just finished watching Obi Wan this afternoon and thought it was OK, with some really good bits and some pretty poor bits.

My thoughts:

Ewan McGreggor was a better Obi-Wan in this than he was in the prequel films.

I loved little Leia.  I thought she was well written and really well acted.  Some great little mannerisms from the actress.  I welled up in her first and last scenes too.  I think that's because of how much the charater means to me though.

I thought Reva was a weak character who had ridiculous character motivations.

Tala was a great character.

The retconning was strong with this one.

I've found all of the live action Star Wars shows underwhelming so far. Poorly paced and just not much fun which I always think Star Wars should be. Obi Wan was fine and killed a few hours but I'll be hard pressed to remember anything that happened in it in a few weeks. I'm rewatching Rebels and while it isn't a perfect show and it's always fun and even does a version of the final confrontation from episode six a lot better than this show does  (Rebels Season 2 finale spoilers). This is partly why whenever I watch these shows I wished they were an animation instead.

Though if you want your Star Wars to be fun and pacey that's not what Andor is about. It's an excellent show though but more Star Wars put through the lens of a high quality HBO show.

It took me a while to get into it because I was viewing against what I wanted it to be, rather than what it was. Although the costume and cape game was on point from day one.
