I'm up to a record high of 8th! My last minute wildcard that involved switching out Zinchenko and Sterling and bringing in KDB, Aguero, and Otamendi went well.

I'm doing so badly this year even though my team on paper is 100.

 

At least I am first in my other leagues draft/champions league.. So far.

Something weird has happened in GW9.

 

I had Aguero (Vice) playing up front this week and David Silva on the bench. 

 

Loaded it this morning and for GW9 it shows Aguero on the bench and Silva in midfield and it's given me the 11 points he earned.

 

Any reason this may have happened?

That’s just how subs work. If a player plays 0 minutes in a game, then at the end of the gameweek, the first sub off your bench comes in. Note that as you need to have at least 3 defenders, 2 midfielders and 1 forward, the game might not use the first player on your bench if subbing then in would take you below those numbers.

 

Salah missing out meant I got Digne off the bench, so along with my always-play-Lundstram strategy I had an above average week, but nothing to write home about.

I’ve just been here too long. Stupid forum game from a decade or so ago where people asked obvious questions they knew the answer to, waited for someone to answer them, then said “Shave”. No, I don’t get it either.

 

Anyway, upside of that is to always order your subs with the one you want the most in position 1.

I don't think you can apply any logic to this season (see GW9's team of the week for example). The only thing I can suggest is that you may aswell have Trent and Robbo as your only expensive defenders and sign a load of 4.5s so you can spend the money further forward.

I would go with no/yes/no. Most important thing is a team full of players that play, I reckon. I’ve got Alexander-Arnold, but the rest of my back line is pretty much the lowest price it can be.

Hate Friday kick offs, I always forget to sort my team out. Now I've got an injured centre back, and my keeper is playing away at City.

 

Still, could be worse. I could have had Southampton's keeper.

A respectable 77 for me this week, not bad.  Transferred De Bruyne in for Richarlison, sticking with Pukki, on for a hat trick against Watford, surely?

This week was basically split between those who had and those who didnt have him! I didnt have him

 

Every week I've been tempted but then thought it won't last. It has lasted. I now have him!

Ah I had almost forgotten about this!   I am having a stormer of a season with Lemmiwinks Utd, an overall ranking at 682 at the moment, so am glad its back

I used the unlimited free transfers and bench boost option to go all in on the double game teams. It appears to have backfired hugely. Agureo and Pepe both benched. Reina not the goal keeper used, no Fleck or Sokratis. Blanks from Grealish and McGinn. It's bad. Cleansheet for Lunstram and Egan is someting i guess.

I kept meaning to get to this all day, then eventually got ten minutes just before the deadline. Built a team stuffed with DGW players and players with good GW30+ fixtures, with the intent to wildcard GW31.

 

Got my transfers done, quickly set my captain and played my bench boost… only to hit the deadline. So I ended up with Grealish as default captain and half my DGW players sitting on the bench unused. 26pts down on where I should be after only two games.
