FFS. "We've only ever been on Sky" is NOT "for the first time in my life I can sit at home and watch them live on the telly."

Sorry everybody. I apologise and am off to kill a Yorkshireman.

I'm open to offers of additional work in the area.

Geoffrey Boycott deserves a cover drive to the gonads.

So far so good on Prime. If anything it's a bit disappointing how safe they've played it in the presentation, I expected them to mix things up a bit.

I can already see from warm up of the first game going on in background that the ball always looks like old plasma tv’s with a slight comet trail - its exactly the same when I stream a game online via unofficial sites.

Framerate isn’t high enough I suspect, my guess is 720p at 20fps at the moment, but no buffering yet.

My tv is via ethernet on a decent 300mb virgin connection too

I don't think that's fair, game just kicked off and it looks pretty good to me.

Rock solid up till now too.

T'Turf looks magnificent under the lights as always.  The Citeh dressing room less so.  (For Gods sake, put 50p in the meter, Sean.

Tonight we have the lesser spotted Danny Drinkwater making his debut.

I’m confused as not all games are 4k, city are showing as 4k in prime app but palace aren’t

How are people getting first game in 4k then ?

No buffering at all but still see the ball trail when it moves fast.

How do you tell? I am using the Prime app via the TV but nowhere does it indicate 4K

I've been watching specifically for ball trail and I'm getting absolutely nothing at all.

I'm watching on the Shield TV, via the Prime Video app, which is connected to my router via ethernet. 500mbit Virgin internet.

Switched over to the Burnley vs City match at half time in the other game and it's still glorious.

Burnley are leaving their feet in a bit. I think that's the game plan. Get City rattled and batter them with Wood up front. City will need a second goal.

For me, it's as good as HD. HDR sign popped up when I switched on.

Is this Worldwide or UK only?

What worries me is that this could see an end to extensive Saturday fixtures. That'll be shit for fans who attend the games.

Been OK for the most part using the inbuilt app on my LG OLED, but for a while in the first half it did look like something from a dodgy flash based streaming site. The BT Sports 4K footage is better than this even without HDR.

Looking forward to Virgin having Sky Sports in 4K next year.
