Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (Breath of the Wild 2) 12th May 2023

Just filled out a survey from Nintendo, regarding TotK, and it seems that the darker setting and the overall change in Hyrule kingdom have been key elements in developing the game. Creating vehicles and exploring dungeons is another element hinted at by the survey.

On my second playthrough of Breath of the Wild I picked up some cheap Amibo cards from eBay. I am going to be strong and not use them to get all the goodies early in TOTK. Honest I am.

Make sure you get the DLC, gives it a proper story to enjoy.

Despite being a big fan of the franchise, I haven't really finished all that many Zelda games.

Link's Awakening GBC

Oracle of Ages

Ocarina of Time

Wind Waker

Four Swords

Minish Cap

Link Between Worlds

I got pretty far in Twilight Princess, dropped Skyward Sword and BotW fairly early in, really didn't get on with Majora's Mask (😱😱😱) or the DS games.

I'm a terrible person.

Really hoping this clicks with me and I realise the error of my ways.

Very tempted to buy an OLED for this, I take it there’s no sign of the TOTK Special Edition that was rumoured?

You won't regret it at all, it's a thing of beauty. Also I highly recommend the skull and co neogrip, handheld is so comfy! And it docks with it on too.

Please don't get my hopes up with the bold. Please...

Pre-order of the limited edition get :D

They charged as much as £125 (incl. p&p) but it's a local chain of shops (not a big multinational), their service is impeccable (so no damaged or "lost" packages on arrival) , and besides Fire Emblem, it's the only limited edition I'll be getting this year.

Any chance they have a website I can order from? My son is desperate for it but I missed out when Smyth’s had it.

Ahh; as I said it's a local chain so they only deliver to the Netherlands and Belgium. Sorry :(

Your best bet would be checking amazon regularly as it's been "out of stock" for some time, but since most shops around here haven't had it on sale, I suppose many of them are still waiting for confirmation of stock incl. amazon.

Oh, I didn’t realise you were in Holland. I’ve signed up on Nintendo’s site and I keep looking around, so fingers crossed I manage to get one. Thanks though.

Good reminder. Logged in and added payment method.  Wouldn't normally leave card details on there but I'd imagine it's going to be a bit of a race on the day

Just pre-ordered.  I NEVER pre-order games.  I think the last time I did was.... erm.... Breath of the Wild.

ShopTo are giving away free posters with pre-orders so I'll let my daughter have the poster, to make up for the fact that I WILL be commandeering the Switch for as long as it takes me to finish the game.

Tremendously exciting.  If it's half as good as BOTW, I would expect it to be my #1 choice for GOTY.

If there is one category of games that is worthy of a pre-order it is Nintendo 1st party games.

You know it will be a quality game, very polished and as bug free as a modern game can be. Plus you know the game won't be £20 in 2-3 months so you might as well get it day one.

I’ve pre ordered this and advance wars.

”killing it” is hardly how I would describe it.

These are basically all filler. I’ll happily munch on them but I’m ready for more some AAA mega hits.

Metroid Prime Remastered and TotK alone are banging. Pikmin 4 and Advance Wars add to that. We don't even know what's in store for the second half.

I don't even like Pikmin, and I am apprehensive for TotK, but killing it they are.
