Same. What happens if you give them to her earlier?

Weird, I definitely have all the armaments for the trophy, but it's not happening. Going to try dropping them all and picking them up again. 🤷‍♂️

That is odd are you sure you are not missing one?

Is it possible to get all of the achievements in this if you don't complete all the NPC quests?

Yes.

The only NPC quests you need to follow really are Ranni and Fia iirc. One sets up a boss, the other sets up an ending (and some bosses iirc) for achievements.

All the other achievements are tied to finding stuff (of which only 1 is truly missable), beating bosses, and the endings iirc.

They really just upped the bullshit meter at the end didn't they. Unstaggerable enemies who can wombo combo for ever and cover so much ground that even if you run away to try and heal they'll kill you with their magic jumping skills. Or scarlet rot.

Re the siren.

Have you explored weeping peninsula yet?

It happens in a few places - you will hear it eventually. The first instance for me was on the WP on some cliffs.

Thanks guys - yes, I’ve been to the weeping peninsula. If it happens elsewhere I’ll be sure to clean out my ears.

I’ve just done the academy of Raya Lucaria and beat JK Rowling. One of those annoying bosses with a thing you have to work out, but actually it was a good fight in the end. I brought in my Demi-human honners, which sufficiently distracted the pointy-hatted witch enough to give me a few good openings, and once I figured out how to evade her magic it was done.

Not the post-fight outcome I was expecting though! I guess I need to find a tear thingy now…

Have good thorough look around the Erdtree there..

Installed DS3 again since I only played it (and dlc) through once.

After about 30 mins uninstalled it again lol

No jump button alone has ruined it. Disgusting. Get lost.

I never even finished it. Considering how tired that game was it's amazing how fresh this feels.

Okay I think I've finally hit upon the best way to describe what it's like to play Elden Ring:

It's like that scene in The Wire, where Bunk and McNulty are wandering around finding stuff and repeatedly going: "Fuuuuuck".

I climbed all the way up to the rafters there but couldn't proceed any further. I assumed that

the big structure hanging from the centre of the ceiling needed to be lowered in some way, but I couldn't see any way to bring it down. I didn't have whatever needs to go on the altar beneath the astrolabe when you first enter, either, before you start to climbing the stairs, so I guessed that this item and the structure were related in some way.

Can you give me a hint on how to proceed? I killed Miriam already. Is there a lever I missed, or something?

Just you wait.  It’s gonna blow your mind.  You need to follow Ranni’s quest, is all I’ll say.

Continue the Ranni questline.

I recall some time ago some asked me for a citation needed on being able to parry bosses, and how you need to do it more than once to get the crit. This vid shows it.

It also taught me something, that you can hold block and still parry, which lessens the risk of it going wrong. Neat.

That was me. Well, fair enough then.

Seems weird to me, I don't think I like that change. A successful parry should always stagger the enemy so you can get a crit in, in my opinion.
