This is where I am. Grinding has got me just about strong enough to handle most of the mobs...the boss on the other hand. I'm going to need some cheese.

A good meaty ashes summon will distract the two bois with him

I'm the same.  Always give a positive to any rllmuk message, even if it's rubbish.

Another thing I noticed last night.  I saw the message saying that someone had defeated a boss (can't remember the wording), and I had the health up buff applied to me for a while.  Is that a thing?  Someone in the password group beats a boss and everyone else gets a health buff?  It wasn't anywhere that helped me at the time, but that's pretty cool.

5% extra runes according to Vaati, I've joined his group (SEEKERS) and it's a pretty constant buff:

What level are you? Im 90-ish I think. The invisible knights with greatshields and the invisible knights with dual swords are really tough.

I wonder if its because they are strong against magic?

If you are a magic user I assume you are using moonveil. The R2 will destroy those knights. Just use the R2 weapon art, roll back, repeat.

I'm currently level 117 strength/faith build with a +22 heavy broadsword. I should probably respec because I barely use any incantations so my 34 faith is squandered. I've been using a fully upgraded mimic tear and he keeps the boys busy, but the main dude is insane.

Im at the final boss...

Spoiler

Nearly had a 1, 2, 3 first time for the build up. Killed Gideon easily and the boss after. Can beat the first phase of the final boss fine but the final dragon... Fucking hell. First time i got him down to a inch of health and now i cant get close. He just doesnt stay still, the time it takes to run accorss the massive area you are out of stamina. Very annoying.

Doing a NG as melee and absolutely wrecking the place. Godrick (frey? the SV castle one) down at level 20 :D

Thing holding me back (slightly) is not remembering the graveyards for easy runes and smithing stone locations

So, Draconic Tree Sentinel doesn’t like a Cold Claymore with Hoarfrost Stomp up the arse. Amazing how the right tools can turn a temporary brick wall into a nice open door.

Finally, into the capital. That first full reveal of it as you step out onto the high wall is something else isn’t it!?

So, fellow Ringers, gonna do a bit of a stream session on this over the weekend*... I want ideas for a build to try out!!

So far I'm thinking:

- Big bashy man.  STR build, dual wielding greatswords, great maces, great axes, etc.

- Tiny skinny Prisoner and following natural starting stats; i.e. INT and DEX baby.

- faith seems... a bit crap til later?  Dunno, plus I did lightning / faith on my recent playthrough of that great DkS3 mod.

Could continue my bleed/arcane lady what I started, but that doesn't seem as fun as I want ot make a plan of items to get etc based on what I know so far :D

What do you lot think?  Anyone gonna tune in?  I won't blame you if you're all still adventuring yourselves.

* previous streaming issues seem to have been alleviated by my convincing tech support to install elgato on my work laptop, ha! :D

From my (very) limited experience of doing a single recon run as deep into caelid as possible, the rexs (geddit?) are pretty bad, but the really scary fuckers are the giant birds.

Stuff of nightmares. I took on the first one I ever saw, and then never again.

Will be interesting to see if it piles up in CEX, Destiny style.

I think the Destiny pileup was partly because they became obsolete. You couldn’t use the disc version to play anymore but they were still taking them as tradeins. Games like this with a strong single player component perform way better long term in the second hand market.

RLLMUK

Should cover all the bases. It's what I did anyway.

My most successful message is in Stormveil in the room full of boxes.

Praise the Rolling

My most popular one is just the word snake at the top of a long ladder.

Yeah it’s shit. Real shame given how good the two bosses before and the first phase of that one are.

Regarding Faith, mate of mine has a Winged Scythe/Faith build and absolutely murders everything with it.

20 hours in. Yeah this isn't for me. Iv played every single demon or dark souls, many to completion. But iv decided, I don't actually like them at all.

Does it normally take completing multiple games in a series before realising you don't like them? 😅

I look forward to your thoughts on Forza 8 or GTA VI

One of the most eye opening moments for me was after nearly yarding my controller, I tried poison buildup on Radahn plus a certain talisman, and bleed, and 1 phased him.

Made me feel intelligent turning him into pretty much a bag of moist swamps.

Moments like that are special beyond belief, and make it something else.

It's odd because twenty hours is still like a whole games worth easily. I love the settings, story, lore, graphics. I just hate the dying repeatedly. And cheapness.

I ticked over into hour sixty last night and noticed the first hunt of fatigue creeping in while exploring the Atlus Plateau. I was rooting through another copy and paste cave, however, defaulting to aggroing enemies away from groups with arrows, one by one, like I've done in every other Souls game ever, so maybe that was why.

When I come to a new area, something compels me to explore everywhere other than where the game is pushing me towards first (so, for this area, the capital, or VM). I'm not sure why. Maybe because I'm scared I'll miss something. Perhaps I should just follow the critical path for a while. Or maybe I should just completely respec as a glass cannon mage to push myself completely out of my comfort zone.

I'm going to go back and try Dark Souls trilogy again (which I couldn't get into) when I finish this tonight.

anybody know if and of them got an FPS boost on SX?

Yeah it's going to be a rough ride @carlospie

If you're on PC, use an invincibility mod when you grow sick and tired of dying over and over 🤫

Nah Xbox. I think it's the open world I hate most. No idea where you should be going and not enough time in the day to do it all. The highlight so far have been the legacy dungeons ironically.
