An IGN article told me I was stuck in the volcano area after being whisked away at a low level. I was raging.

 

I've hit a bit of an impasse now in the northern area.

It's somewhat irksome how many recycled bosses are starting to show up. I already killed this guy in Castle Sol in the swamp. My mimic tear keeps his summons busy, but his AOE attacks are insane. I've gotten him halfway down, but he pummels me. And having to sneak around those teleporting knights on the way to the boss door... I'm about 110 hours in, level 115 with a +22 broadsword. I'm thinking about a respec so I can use the moonlight sword but I'm unsure about huge swords with their slow attacks.

this game is too big. 60-70 hours should be enough time to see a main story through. By all means have post story stuff - but having just opened another few massive areas and knowing how much is left, in a game with generally little guidance I don’t know if I’ll see the end.

People are finishing the game in 30 mins

I don’t really play many video games anymore, and I’ve never played played a souls game before but my friend at work kept going on about this that I had to get involved. 
 

What a game! I’ve not been this addicted to a game since WoW 15 years ago. Which is probably the last time I posted on RLLMUK. 
 

This game has made me love video games again.
 

Oh and I’ve died. A lot.

Knew I'd be able to get this armour at some point after coming across the first guy near the start of my journey. Just need to find the shield now! And get a hell of a lot more endurance not to fat roll...

 

First CK was one of my fav fights so far. The fight to get this armour was pretty intimidating!

I've not had a crash, but I've had the issue where you summon Torrent and you just start floating in mid-air. Also in the post-capital area I slipped into a little hole, floated for a while then insta-died.

 

A question about the approach to the the capital in the Atlus area...

I killed one of the tree sentinels, but it respawned when I rested which made me not bother with the other. But now I'm wondering, do they not respawn if you kill both of them? Seeing as the health bars show together, maybe that's how you put an end to them...then again, maybe not.

 

Edit: Ok, I just whacked both of them in about 30 seconds and the answer is yes, they properly gone now. Plus they drop some cool gear.

 

Btw, anyone else run into

Whoever suggest Hoarfrost Stomp, take a bow. The implied level needed region it opens suggests the boss was not meant to be anywhere near that hard.

 

The Crucible Knight was still a dick the second time around, even after I'd made sure it was just me vs him very quickly.

 

Six stones for an upgrade remains unreasonable.

I did that eventually. I’m going back though. I’ll get all those bats eventually.

tbf, it’s the one game that really makes me want a steamdeck. Handheld is better for the big long games for me.

I've played it on my steamdeck. Not a huge fan tbh. The game is far too dense and detailed for a small screen.

Fucking hell. Came across my first boss fight that I am struggling with since Godrick when I went into Stormveil about 60 hours ago. A - SOD. The fucker can one shot me with a grab or with a few other attacks.

The first time I arrived I was attacked by an NPC invasion, so second time around I tried to attack as they were appearing out of the ground but didn't realise there was something/someone there! And it/he/she died immediately. What did I do? :unsure:

 

I did exactly the same, did a massive Area of effect spell and bad things happened..

I’m really enjoying my Glintstone sorcerer summon. He’s really handy, especially if I can keep the focus on me. Few sneaky slaps but mostly dodging, whilst the mob gets fucked with blue twinkles. 
 

Getting more into a stride with the melee. Normally I’m dumb and headstrong and believe I can just smash anything whilst weathering the damage.

But I’m working harder on doing a more efficient battle dance. When I have the talisman equipped, my stamina bar is actually longer then my health. Radahn has enforced a more “don’t get hit at all, so don’t waste the points” sort of approach.

So I leeched from Vigor to put into Faith and Arcane. And the plethora of golden seeds up on the plateau meant it was easier to transfer some flasks over.

Had to take out the eye of fucking sauron on the way to the lift.

 

Then got to the gates and...double sentinels eh? Well then.

Bumped into margit again. Killed him again. And then realised there was a back way in all along!

Still getting smacked around by those sodding runebears tho.

 Nope, not had that happen. In fact, yesterday was the first time I’d had any issue with the game, where I opened the door to a mausoleum and fell through the floor, getting stuck under the world. Couldn’t go anywhere unless I fast travelled out. Other than that, in almost 90 hours, it’s been magic.
