I think the other problem with the old acronym plan is that there’s so many bosses in this. I have no idea who SR is, but I’ve beaten like 30 bosses now so maybe I’ve done that one? Or maybe it’s like the stone cat that I only found yesterday and killed in two hits.

The best bit of the acronym nonsense was when Sekiro had an encounter against GA, and then later an encounter against another, different GA. Oh, but you couldn’t use “GA2” just in case the first GA you encountered made a return appearance later in the game.

 

TLDR* - it’s daft, and I only carry on with it to see how indecipherable my posts can become. ;) 

 

*no, that’s not a boss name.

Gael Tunnel. It’s a little red blob juuust inside Caelid, south of the Rotview Balcony Site of Grace (which in turn is the first one you come to on the right of the main road into Caelid from NE Limgrave (near Summonwater Village)

 

Be warned. It’s horrible. But the goodies are there to be yoinked.

Did this place at lunchtime. It was horrible!

Don't want to spoil too much but I'm in a really atmospheric area (lakes NE up high) with

Opera singing bats

Ran out of manna so ended up chucking a load of throwing knives at the mini boss.  The crystals require manna to use but seem powerful options  somehow found 3 rune arcs too.

Grabbed a cheeky hour before mother-in-law turned up and managed to explore the area east of Limgrave, lit some towers and opened a massive door then found an arse load of dragons

 

Left it climbing up some tower for an undetermined reason. Wanker killed me. Mother in law arrived

It took me quite by surprise running in and losing over half my health to a single purple arrow shot. And then he proceeded to beat the snot out of all my carefully summoned npcs on his little wee horse. And then he jumped into the air and did the huge meteor thing and I got one shot. Good times :lol:

Haha yeah he's an absolute twat. It just gets harder. I just spammed the NPCs and got hits in when I could, kept huge distance most of it. Was a war of attrition.

Crucible Knight is down! Really enjoyed that fight. So much so I didn't want to use any summons or anything and just pure 1v1 him (though no idea if I've overlelled at this point). Took a fair few goes to learn roll timings and I struggled to find openings in the 2nd phase but I ground him down eventually. Video in spoiler below if anyone fancies watching.

 

Incidentally I'd very welcome more boss fight videos in this thread! Interested to see everyone's different approaches.

Dude! Good job! You were super cautious but it paid off! The only thing I'd say (and bear in mind I've yet to best this guy) is that you could try use jump R2 as your default punish when he's open. If you want to force enemies to get posture broken in this you have to keep up the pressure too, he seems to have lots of openings that you just waited rather than sticking in a jump attack. 

 

Also! Guard counters man, I haven't tested these on him but he has huge gaps between his attacks, I'd be surprised if you can't interrupt his combos by guard countering after the first hit in a lot of cases. 

 

But still, you got him! Fine work. I appraised this message. Etc 😁
