Well I really enjoyed episode 1, I don't have time for the others yet.

It's escapism and has some fun characters in. They were never going to Andor this up, it wouldn't be appropriate, for anyone wanting something else.

Looking forward to more silly adventures in the rest of the episodes!

Sometimes not being too critical and enjoying the random fun has its advantages.

Just to update, episode 4 onwards was pretty unmitigated shite.

I'll watch the last episode soon and we will see but the reveal at the end of Ep 7 was a shite cake.

I thought it was all over the place from the end of the first episode really.  Very odd soundtrack choices, clearly inspired by Britannia and then later Hellraiser.  Plus Warwick Davis' acting was shite for most of it.

Final episode

Spoiler

Nothing much really happened, baddie got killed but OHHHH she was only the baddie in front of the REAL baddie who is now going to be annoyed and do something else.

Why didn't big baddie do something else before?

It felt padded towards the end and the final reveal "this was meant to happen" was just daft. If it was, it then failed two minutes later.

I agree on the music choices too. "Let's make it more current", with a bunch of old tunes.

Mind you at least Ed Sheeran didn't turn up.

This is indeed a total mess, and most of the characters are complete idiots, but at the same time I found it quite entertaining and it had  some good 80s fantasy film style stuff in it.

Best episode was the Christian Slater one

The music was just like some one left there iPod on shuffle and went with it.

Thing that bothered me most though was Elorna Dannings hair changes colour around episode 6 and no one mentions it,

I always thought a “show runners” role wasn’t that important but Willow proves me wrong!

Despite all this I am probably more keen to see season 2 of Willow than season 2 of Rings of Power.

Erin Kellyman? Can’t say I noticed anything particularly bad about her. I’ve not seen Falcon and Winter Soldier.

I don't get the internet hate for her either. Not by design, but I've seen a fair bit of the stuff she's been in, and whilst she's not an outstanding actress, she's not a bad one either.

Did you see Falcon and the Winter Soldier?

I admit that her role in Solo completely washed over me to the point I forgot she was in it, so it couldn’t have been that bad - but in the Marvel show she was bloody awful.

Yup, saw her in that as well. No issues there either, at least with her acting. The whole Flag Smashers thing was a big bag of nothing, however.

My theory is she is working off her debt to Disney after being paid in advance for the Solo trilogy that never got made.

She’s fine in Willow but really miscast in Solo and Winter soldier, she’s supposed to be a charismatic leader while looking like  she’s about to burst into tears at any moment.

I wholeheartedly agree with this being cancelled. It could have been done well, but stumbled around with no clear direction and badly paced episodes. If given to the right team, this could have been really good. As it is though, it's rare that I actually stop watching something mid-way through, but just couldn't get on with this.

I've read Kasdan's full statement a few times now, and though it's endearing and enthusiastic, all he seems to be saying is "maybe, one day". Given the length of time between the film and D+ show, maybe that's fair enough.

This is being removed from Disney + as part of a cost cutting exercise which, presumably, will mean it’ll be almost like it never existed, given that it will be impossible to watch it. It’s not the only thing (the World according to Jeff Goldblum is another one), but given it was poorly received, then seemingly cancelled, means it’s effectively being deleted from history.

Streaming was a mistake.
