I think I've figured out the MK11 issue.

 

I played it on PS4 when it first came out then and the free PS5 upgrade for it is digital.

 

Strangely, I can also DL a digital PS4 copy as well if I want.

I managed to pop a trophy on my PS4 a couple of days ago, but then shut it off and started playing the same game again on my PS5. After playing a while the same trophy popped again on the PS5...

That’s always happened if you use a profile on multiple machines (PS3/PS4 or whatever), if you didn’t sync your trophy list by looking at it before you shut down the PS5 wouldn’t know you already earned it on the PS4.

I'm wondering when we're going to see Ratchet & Clank.

 

If Returnal is being positioned as the Sony 1st party title for spring with it's March release we may not see R&C until summer. Possibly when there's a better supply of consoles about.

Supposedly, R&C is in the first half of the year. If it were before Returnal, we'd presumably have an announced date already, so I assume it's post-March.

Does this only happen on some games? I'm using PS4 disc to play PS5 AC Valhalla and it doesn't do this.

It's on immortals fenyx rising. I'll be playing it on disk then a pop up will appear saying it's downloaded and ready to play. It's a PS4 disk but I downloaded a 20 gig ps5 update.

Yup, but there's only so much space on my PS5's storage, and I'm kind of para about filling it up. Streaming is working just great for this type of game, I forget that it's not local pretty much immediately.

I still can’t believe that Sony’s finest have been incapable of putting out an update that stops PS4 games with PS5 upgrades from installing the PS4 version every fucking time you turn the console on if you have the temerity to leave the disc in. I’m enjoying much about the console in general, but this aspect is just a bad user experience.

 

If they’re unable to produce an update that does that, they really need to put one out that stops PS4 upgrades from requiring the disc full-stop, regardless of any losses from the second hand market.

It’s definitely a bit daft! You’re getting a PS4 and PS5 version of the game for less than just the PS5 version alone! I’ve bought AC Valhalla, Watchdogs and WRC9 all PS4 disc copies, because they have free PS5 upgrades. Saved about £40 over buying the PS5 disc versions.

A work chum had the trigger go on his PS5 pad so called Sony, after 2 hours and 3 dropped calls they were useless (as ever) but he called Argos and after reminding them of their responsibilities as the retailer they agreed to send a new pad out.  
 

He was a bit surprised when two hours later a courier turned up with his new pad and told him to bin the old one... apparently h fix is pretty easy but may be helpful to anyone on here with the issue who bought from a Argos!
