I think I’ll be fine using mine but I’ll make sure I software eject the drive before turning it off and avoid rest mode.

With such a fast console test mode is losing its convenience

They've already said there's going to be an update? So won't be an issue for much longer.

I preferred it in 4K, the odd frame dips didn't bother me and the IQ seemed much better than 1080p. But it's nice to have a choice.

Not found specific threads on wither Gaf or Era.

mentions it - so many variable at play here - HDD manufacturer cable used etc... I'm just going to go for it, I've loaded up an external drive with PS4 games over the last few months for the PS5 specifically not going to nanny it just yet.
