I've got c.2000 monitors here. 800 pairs, assorted singles, plus spares.

Only a handful have speakers...

Yeah but if you buy one to game on you’re more likely to buy one with speakers than if you excel on them.... if bought the kids monitors as at smaller sizes they are way better than TVs for gaming!

2020 Sony really relishing the new bad guy persona :lol: it's very entertaining. Any news on BC enhancements yet?

I have to admit (going slightly off topic) that finding out my new LG tv can send optical OUT back to my old surround sound unit was lovely surprise. I can now have surround sound from my N64!

It's a bit of a soul destroying process, but you essentially keep trying to add a bundle to your basket. This keeps failing, but at random points, one will go into your basket. You then check out - I suggest you log in and amend your card and default shipping address details in advance, and then try to check out. This will also probably fail. Hit back and then try again. Just keep going like this until it either a) works or b) randomly gets removed from your basket and you have to start the whole thing from the beginning.

I've been trying since Sunday, on and off. Have had a bundle in my basket four times, but despite loads of attempts to check out, it didn't go through. On this occasion, it went through on the first go.

Bundles here:

Pick any bundle you like and on the actual page for it, delete ?status=OOS from the URL so the pre-order button goes pink and you can order.

Sounds risky, good luck! Did you get a confirmation email?

Fairplay, that must've taken hours of clicking.

I wonder which bundle has the best chance?

Dirt 5 dev says PS5 DualSense is “incredible”

Quote

“There’s not often that something in the controller space comes along and surprises you,” said Springate. “That says ‘why were we not doing this before?’ It’s incredible.”

According to Springate, it’s mostly in how the vibration works through the haptic feedback that makes the pad feel so unique and ground-breaking. “There wasn’t enough expression within rumble before,” he explained. “And you’d just adjust how frequently you’d turn them on and off. With the adaptive triggers, you don’t just supply an ‘on’ or ‘off’, you supply a waveform to explain how soft you want it, or how much you want the [triggers] to push out or pull.

“This means you can feel the world how we want you to feel it, […] and that means Dirt 5 feels like no other racing game – it’s like nothing I’ve ever played before, if I’m honest.”

I've heard it makes no difference, but I was mainly trying the Miles Morales one. Since yesterday I've had two tabs open, with the second being the extra dualsense one, giving them both a go every now and then. When it went through, I honestly didn't know which one I'd got.

I don't really want an extra DualSense, but at least it's something I should be able to sell on at minimal loss. Much better than the £770 bundle the indie was trying to push.

Was similar back in the day with the N64, here is a translated quote by Shigeru Miyamoto when promoting Mario 64;

Quote

"The N64 pad is just incredible. Why did we not make this before?? SMB 1,2 and 3 were cool but imagine if you could have used the N64 pad to control those? So instead of just left, right, up, down etc you could control how fast they moved? Scratch that, imagine Skool Daze on the Speccy? Being able to control how fast you run away from Mr Whacker?! Why were we not doing this before eh?"

Difference is that is a Nintendo employee marketing his product this is a game developer saying the PS5 controller is incredible.

That's true. I scouted around and found that oddly, David Doak had also said exactly the same thing whilst promoting Goldeneye;

To save everyone reading what you all already know

When it comes to big first-party games that will satisfy its fanbase and pull in users to PS5, Sony doesn't need to do much more than it already is. It's hiring across almost all of its studios, which are consistently delivering high quality, big selling games.

Yet Sony will be mindful of the partners -- big and small -- who are coming under new ownership, or receiving significant investment from China. PlayStation isn't immune to the consolidation that seems to be happening in games today, and although it may not need or want to invest externally, it might have to.

Thanks HB, this method worked for me within about 30 mins.  Payment processed and email received for a PS5+MM.

EDIT: Now I need to get the original Spidey (never played it).  Can't quite remember the deal with the PS5 upgrade - was that disc only?

Nice one, Reynard. The Miles one would have been my preference. I don’t have much use for a second Dualsense, really. Hopefully, I can put it in Trading and not lose too much money on it.

I think I’m going to pick up the PS4 version of Miles, as it’s a bit cheaper. Also going to change my Xbox Cyberpunk preorder to PS4.

Miles + Astro at launch, + catch up on some of the exclusives I’ve missed (Ghost of Tshushima, Days Gone) and maybe finally finish Bloodborne. :D

So Miles Morales on PS4 is a free upgrade day one to the PS5 version, is that right?

What's the point in buying the more expensive PS5 version? Am I missing some this here?

Looks to me that they’re the same price on PS4 and PS5. The PS5 ‘ultimate’ version which has an extra game is more expensive though.
