Doesn't seem to be any word from Amazon UK. Usual silence from them.

I doubt there will be any changes to the Amazon situation. They delivered all the way through lockdown (in fact increased their delivery slots) so I don't think there is anything for them to announce. I'm expecting both my consoles from them on the launch days.

I know someone who works at GAME and they said PS5s have already arrived and that they may have to give them out early because of lock down? What's more likely here? people getting them early? late? or through some other pickup/takeaway like scheme?

Doubt Sony will let them go out early...

This seems like a semantic distinction. They're not able to make a version optimised to take full advantage of the PS5.

Ps5 will be able to do the boost mode thing with PS4 games so maybe that'll mean improved PSVR titles?

I love how all of these rumours completely ignore the patently obvious logistical issues of moving a launch up with only 2 weeks to go.

Has there been any confirmation of a boost mode on PS5?  I thought all we knew so far is that it'll at least act like a PS4 Pro.

Yes, there is one and it'll work with some games (others will just run in the PS4 Pro mode). However beyond that the technical details are a bit sketchy and seem to be coming via devs. What I've seen so far as confirmations (but there will definitely bet more)...

  • God of War will be solid 60fps over the PS4 Pro 45fps
  • Ghost of Tsushima will run 60fps instead of 30fps locked on PS4 and PS4 Pro
  • No Man's Sky is 60fps at 4K with additional objects and longer draw distance over PS4 Pro

The exact line of where boost mode ends and 'next-gen patch' starts isn't that clear. But I've seen both GoW and GoT talked about as a 'boosted BC mode' rather than a full next-gen version.

I know somone who works at Smyths and he told me that the PS5 has a secret feature that turns your room into a holodeck and that they've made a deal with Nintendo so you can play all the Mario games on it and if you hold all the buttons down on the controller at once you can play as Mario in the nude.

Play Mario in the nude? Doesn't everyone do that already?
