Surprisingly, that was nearly 11 years ago, in 2009. The free gig to celebrate was at Finsbury park in 2010. Simpler times.

One thing I didn’t consider, would they make the disc version a bit too expensive to nudge people to digital rather than make the digital version cheaper?

 

Most are expecting a $100 gap. That's way more than a disc drive costs. Although I think it's more subsidising the cheaper one that artificially making the dearer one more expensive.
