Switch relies even more on slightly recast old IP, is far too successful, and has the occasional quirk rather than being all quirk - so it's not really Mansun.

Stadia is definitely Ocean Colour Scene. I guess Oasis are Sony? People are embarrassed to say they like them except a small minority but they sell a lot to the mass market. Xbox are Blur, because they have more devoted fans with actual arguments as to why they’re good, but it doesn’t always connect with a wider audience. Nintendo are The Beatles, because they invented all this stuff.

What really sells the comparison is that they spent their second album (Modern Life is Rubbish) buying up big UK developers, and for their fourth album (13), they've decided to go big on American RPG makers who specialise in Pavement textures while releasing a second song that's small and sweet.
