I heard Colin Moriarty speculate that they'll end up delaying until next year. I'm starting to agree with him.

Is that the same Colin Moriarty Kinda Funny had to give the boot because he was too much of a far-right baw bag?

I have no idea who this person is you're talking about, but I'm not sure what relevance their political leanings have on the comment about the PS5 being delayed into next year.

Unless you're going down the route of everything he says is a conspiracy.

If not, are we only supposed to accept leaks and info from people who's political leanings we agree with? Seems tricky to know who to believe in that case.

I mean, being a racist, white supremacist, misogynist is hardly a 'political leaning', is it.

So are we expecting anything from Sony this month on PS5 news, price, preorder or release games? I am beginning to tire of this drip feed! Just give me the info.

Either this or next month would be my guess.

Also, fuck Colin Moriarty.

No, that's not what I'm saying. I get that he's a piece of shit, but what does that have to do with what he's saying about the PS5?

I've inadvertently signal boosted (think thats the right phrase) assholes in the past when I wasn't aware of the fact they were assholes. I didn't know if rooster was aware of Moriartys questionable viewpoints so I tried to highlight that he was a problematic individual but I didn't want to make that into an attack on rooster.

but that's what it becomes.... He quoted that guy that said that shitty thing so he must be a shitty person as well. It's all so fucked up...….

I mean, literally no-one said or implied that. If you know a person has extremely questionable views and someone else appears ignorant of that when quoting them, I think it's fine to mention it, even if it's irrelevant to the subject at hand. It doesn't mean said ignorant person has done anything wrong.

Yeah, I never vouched for the guy as a beacon of moral virtue.

I don't even think he's the hellish villain you lot are painting him as - that tweet about Asians is a bit misguided, but I don't get the impression that he was invoking it to negatively compare other racial groups, as other true bigots have done. I reckon maybe that's just a blind spot for him, and I accept that he's not perfect, some people aren't as keenly attuned to the politically correct ideal.

The other, frankly ludicrous stuff some of you guys are painting him as is nonsense. Having listened to hours of his podcasts, I've picked up no racism and no sexism. In fact he's talked at length about the problems that the video games industry has with these issues.

Articles/tweets calling him these things don't qualify as proof that he's guilty of these things. I need to hear it come from the horse's mouth, I'm afraid.

Of course, if someone has proof of him actually shitting on racial groups or telling women that they're trash then of course I'll change my opinion of him.

Labelling people as appalling bigots just for not being perfect is totally toxic behaviour. I have no doubt some of you will think similarly of me just for this post. Luckily, anyone who knows me in real life knows that I'm no bigot.

Doesn't mean some weren't already thinking it. Look at how much spurious hate the guys name alone has brought forth on this page. We have folk posting up the receipts almost instantly, rather than discuss the point attack the source.

What benefit is it to Sony to leave a bunch of finished PS5s sat in a warehouse? I don't even see the argument.

Not saying this is the situation but Sega surprise launched the Saturn 3 months ahead of schedule with the ones that otherwise would have sat in a warehouse for 3 months.

It was a disaster due to lack of stock and Sega only sending the limited stock to a couple of retailers and of course none of the games being ready.

So it's not ALWAYS a bad idea.

There is no benefit at all to carrying stock you can't sell. Thats not the same as having  a stocking policy in preparation of launch

I think they’ll probably announce a big PS5 launch info stream a week in advance. The original event was announced a week before the planned date wasn’t it? (Before they had to delay it.)

I’d say they’ll probably announce the stream at the tail end of Gamescom, and do the actual thing a week later.

Racism aside I find his smug cunt face and voice unbearable.

In computer games talk, there is a straight line between mouthy bigoted social media YouTube types and the incessant noise you get over the Last of Us 2. So yeah when bigots talks computer games, ignore and no platform so they become the irrelevance their medieval views deserve.

I can totally imagine that channel. Hey guys, what's up, it's your boy Nigel here with a breakdown on that latest Halo Infinite demo. What's up with the lighting, where's the open-ended world like we saw in the previous trailer, and boy do those Halo designers know how to make a beach unwelcoming to immigrants?
