Loved seeing these, I've been following both now for about 5 years (Am a kickstarter backer on little devil). So happy to finally see a light at the end of a long long tunnel for both these games.

I'm all in for Stray.

Ratchet and clank won’t, horizon won’t,Demon’s souls won’t , Spider-Man won’t, project athia won’t be.

Quite a strong exclusive showing out of the gate imo.

I might end up with both due to flight simulator

Project Athia is already confirmed for PC. So is Horizon 1 which is out soon, so I assume 2 is coming at some point. So are all the other Souls games, and Bloodborne is soon to be announced supposedly.

God Of War 2 is quite a draw though.

The white part represents a towel; acting as a subtle but provocative reminder of the past mistakes of rivals but also as a bold symbol of intent to take remedial action.

It's called art. Look it up.

I can imagine many who saw that trailer thought it was 100% cinematic but one of the closing shots is actually showing gameplay cat 'platforming'. It was one of the first things they nailed down. Even back then the follow through animation was really impressive and natural.

Very early greybox footage here;

It was a good solid show. No holy shit moment where some huge title was announced out of nowhere but not much in the way of lowlights either. Sweaty basketball man was the worst trailer.

Ha yeah. Worst advert for me was GodFall, felt like it went on forever even though it was only 90 seconds. Over marketed/focused grouped commercial, even the name feels like it was based off some graphs based on words used in successful recent games etc

I really enjoyed the showing, loads of interesting stuff I want to play. Jett, Resi 8, Pragmatta, Devil Inside, Stray, Ghostwire, HZD2, Spidey and more. Demon's looked great but I've absolutely no desire to play that again.

Console looks nuts and why not I say. Disc version all the way as why pay a premium for digital and can sell games on once finished (as always).

Bring it on... :)

Well I thought that was great. A good mix of games for everyone whatever your tastes are. When the first 3 games were a new Spider-Man (even if it’s a shorter episode), GT 7, and a new Ratchet and Clank, I don’t see how anyone could complain they weren’t bringing out their big hitters in terms of IP. A new Resident Evil and Demon’s Souls. Horizon looked fantastic.  For me that was way better than Microsoft’s last video briefing.

I would definitely like to have seen more demonstration of actual gameplay with some focus on what the SSD can do and how 3D audio works but I’m sure that will come.

I can see how the console design will be divisive, but it definitely screams high-tech gaming system to me rather than boring black media slab. I presume the curves and spaces are to allow for cooling but I guess we’ll find out in due course. I kinda like it but understand why others might not. I’m undecided on whether to go for the digital edition (which looks better) or not, but that will depend on what the price differential is and what they end up announcing for back-compatibility.

Arkane’s game is a PS5 debut exclusive (and PC), so will presumably come out elsewhere at some point. But isn’t trying to simultaneously cater for PS4.

That’s interesting.

Also aiming for this year, early next.

Microsofts last video briefing was tedious, non-gameplay, and basically limited to a few indies. This was another “exclusive games at some point” showing by Sony.

One first party game with a vague release date (though you’d assume astrobots playroom isn’t far off, if not at launch), two timed console exclusives. We could have predicted no dates on GT, Demon Souls etc.

I’m not expecting Microsoft’s showing to be much better though (and of course everything will be on PC): I think Covid has thrown some software plans up in the air a bit on both sides.
