I started up a Steam group chat (and added you call).  I've never done online chat while gaming before so if Discord is better then we could do that next time, but someone mentioned (in the other thread) using Steam chat so I've set one up.

I hope this went well! I would love to join next time - I’ll keep an eye on the thread.

I have a work league race with NASCARs on Saturday then I’m doing the iracing vln on Sunday so probably best I didn’t add another car to the week tonight.

Sounds like you guys had a bunch of fun!

Love to join in at some point but think I need to have a good practice first. Only have Assetto Corsa at the moment though so hopefully it will feel very similar.

Anyone doing any racing on AC? Maybe we could start some lap time attacks or something at some point?!

Feel free to friend me on Steam if anyone uses the system... CypherQ is my tag thingie!

Edit : Just noticed that this is the ACC thread apologies for polluting! :)

I've got my eye on this for the Xbox release coming 23 June.  I don't expect for one minute it will look as good as it's PC counterpart but found some console footage online and looks decent and the engine sounds are utterly stupendous.

There is also an E3 event coming up 16 June:

Assetto Corsa Competizione is the official GT World Challenge® game, recreates the international GT series racing event, including all cars, teams, tracks, and affiliated drivers, and achieves its hyper realistic simulation gameplay used by elite drivers and teams in professional training capacities. This virtual session will also highlight how pro racing organization SRO Motorsports Group is engaging with passionate fans and gamers by embracing esports to provide closeup contact free action in the SRO E-Sport GT Series and GT Rivals, across the globe bringing multi-national professional drivers, sim racers and invited fans together and competing behind the wheel of  top GT3 racers of today from Acura, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, and more.

Esports and games industry expert Imad Khan, host of the FTW with Imad Khan podcast, will lead a discussion with SRO Motorsports Group esports representatives Robbie Montinola and Anthony Comas, professional luxury sportscar champions and GT Rivals participants David Perel (Ferrari 488 GT3), Bryan Heitkotter  (No. 05 Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3) and pro racing coach Guy Cosmo (K-PAX Racing and Bentley) for a heated discussion around Assetto Corsa Competizione, the explosive surge in esports popularity, and simulation racing games.

I can do Friday's too, so if we can get a feel for who could do Thursday and/or Friday we'll go from there.

Thanks for the offer, I think next week is out for me, Premier League is back and Spurs v Man U kicks off Friday 20:15 which I want to watch.

I’ve pre ordered for Xbox. I’m thinking I’ll probably ends up with a series x so hoping if it doesn’t run well, performance boost will help out a few months later...

The preorder dlc is pretty generous and base.com have it for just under 30 quid.

I'll sign up just because the car & track combos for the current special events don't tickle my fancy.  But I know Spa relatively well now and I've been meaning to try the Lambo a bit more.  So I'll give this a go.

I set a time.... 10:51:972 and I'm 61st in the world :) ...

... out of 70. :D

Think I did a 10:27 but not sure if it was counted as valid as I got the ‘off track, no time gained message’. I’ll have another go today, I was running Wet Setup, TC 4 and 18 litres.

Only 24secs to gain in 4 laps to top leaderboard!!

It said that for me in-game, but my time shows on the leaderboard on the website.

Didn’t realise there’s a leaderboard online, looks as though mine didn’t register, I’d have been around 45/86 if it had. I need to figure out how to carry more speed onto the Kemmel straight.

Nice one, it's tricky in the wet.  Wasn't having much fun so not sure I'll bother trying again.

Turning my attention to improving around Monza.  Down into the low 1:42s and am a lot more consistent than around Spa, which has seen my consistency rating sky rocket.  Speaking of which, how are your ratings looking guys?  Here's mine...

Yep no point if it’s not fun, however learning a track and lines under those conditions is bound to help as once you get back on a dry track it’s going to feel like you have so much grip.

I figured out why my times weren’t updating, you need to have your ratings set to ‘on’ not just ‘multiplayer only’.

45 minute race at Monza tonight, through simracing.gp.  It was a bit of a wake-up call, in that I was a second slower than the rest of the field in qualifying.  Looks like most of the guys racing in this league are a higher grade than me, so it was a bit of a struggle.

Qualified 18th from 24 (by virtue of 4 drivers not setting a time) and I was slower than everyone during the race.  Turn 1 was a cluster fuck, and I got shunted onto the grass, but I managed to navigate around everyone and was in 12th position for a while.  Not for long though; got punted from behind again (I wasn't slow into the corner, they must have fucked it) and then damaged the car so needed to pit.

Finished 16th (from 18th that finished the race) but I lost 2 places towards the end as I forgot to work out the fuel required and needed to pit at the end.

It was fun, but I'm awful compared to these guys so not sure if I'll join another race through this league for now.  I managed to bump up my safety rating though (to 69), despite the incidents.
