Just found it and accepted.

Cool I've promoted you to admin so you should be able to create an event there now.

For simracing.gp once the event is created you have to actually register for the event itself to take part, before you can join the server.

If anyone wants to race tonight (and in future) that isn't already signed up to the simracing.gp community if you PM me with your email address I can send an invite.

I've setup an initial mini event for later, at Brands Hatch GP:

https://beta.simracing.gp/events/L0hM-CF3U1vV_Ks672IZD

You can download the car from the Mods tab within the event and it'll start with a 30 minute practice session at 19:30, followed by 15 mins qualy and a 20 minute race.

No worries if folks aren't up for this, just say and we can do something else.

Should we share this to the sim racing and AC dedicated threads too, perhaps?

Maybe we should see if there's any more interest from the ACC regulars first?  I really don't want everyone else to feel railroaded into this particular event as we could basically do anything people fancy (I know it'll probably be difficult to reach a consensus and it is really short notice too).

Really sorry I've left this so late guys!!

I have signed up sounds like it could be fun race, small cars always seem to promote some great racing.

I'm sorry chaps, I've been really busy for work and sorting stuff for our wedding in the evenings this week.

I won't be around tonight, can't sit for a long time in a tight racing seat due to having been 'snipped down-under' last Friday. It's still a bit sensitive.

Shall I setup a second mini race for tonight folks, maybe at Oulton Park?  Also, I was going to force default setups so we're all on a level playing field, but it doesn't look like I can do that.  Is everyone ok to stick with the defaults?  Setups don't matter hugely on these cars anyway.

The little mini race we had in original AC was great fun.  Clutch and manual gear changes, opportunities to heel and toe, oversteer thats controllable.  What brilliant little cars

Also - this is likely to be the best my simracing.gp stats page will ever look  😆

This is currently £13.99 on Steam with a free play period of 3 days.. Good opportunity to see if it runs OK on my setup (Ryzen 5 1st gen, 16GB RAM and GTX980Ti)!

As long as you're not trying to run it in 4K, or VR, you should be fine with that.  I had a 980Ti for a while and it was great in ACC.   Hope you like it!

Awwwww love AC in VR! :)

I'll give it a quick try in VR and see how it goes! :)

ACC's VR implementation is a bit of a performance mess.  It works great, but its one of the most demanding titles out there.  I think it's something integral to the way the Unreal Engine renders stuff, as they've never been able to improve it.

In 2D it runs fine...

Dave! What the hell with the Porker? 😱

I'll be back too this week. My nads are still sore but I'll give practice a go tomorrow.

I've been moving between the McLaren and Porker for the last few weeks and can't seem to settle on one or the other 😆 the Porsche feels great around Silverstone.  Still not sure which one I'll end up in!!

I feel I cant make the BMW work here. Just understeers everywhere but snap oversteers in some medium speed corners. Weird.

For people who use ACC Results Companion, it looks like it doesnt count laps driven on the server as mine because the server sets me a different name. Now I have 2 Eriks on the leaderboard and my laps didnt count as my own.
