Thanks. Have the Japanese one on order but UK would be preferable

it's in the description of this video:

European pre-orders will open for the Mega Drive Mini 2 in September, and the Genesis Mini 2 is available to pre-order for North America here: https://sega.jp/genesismini2/

i'd never heard of super locomotive before and it turns out the main theme is rydeen???

Populous was Big in Japan, so no surprises it’s on there, from a certain point of view.

Anyway, Rainbow Islands, but no The New Zealand Story?! Saving that for a future iteration, or is TNZS basically unknown and unloved outside the European countries who all played Ocean’s home conversions?

I don't wanna miss the pre-orders on this one, they sold out pretty fast last time and the asking price for the original now will be like a beacon for scalpers I bet.

Tracked down my receipt from the first one from amazon, a few weeks after its release I got it for a bit less than £70.

A rendition of Rydeen was officially licensed for the original 1982 arcade game, but this MD port uses a cover version of sorts.

I like how YMO member Ryuichi Sakamoto ending up producing the Dreamcast bios / system audio down the line.

  • 2 weeks later...

Never played the Mega CD versions of Ecco so thought I'd give the soundtracks a quick listen. Wasn't expecting this epic Vangelis style undersea oddysey!

This is what I miss from games back then, when we first got CD scored games they really went all out with the music.

I just let out the dirtiest laugh when the page loaded with the price.

The problem is gonna be these will rocket in price once the stock is gone, which means it's unlikely they'll ever go cheaper. So be a mug now or be a mug later?

Hmm.
