Mega Drive Mini, and now... Mega Drive Mini 2!

Kid Chameleon and Virtua Fighter 2 over Rocket Knight and Sonic 3K is criminal.

You just have to accept with these things that you'll never get all the games you want. Looking forward to hacking the shit out of it. I want to play the original Streets of Rage in co-op with my wife. Revenge of Shinobi missing is an absolute shocker.

But you know what, there's games on here i've never tried. Alisia Dragoon, Monster World IV, and the Darius and Tetris ports looks great. So it's all good.

Also i know it's beloved, but fuck me I cannot stand Dynamite Headdy. D-List mascot material, twee annoying rubbish. Rocket Knight is 10 times better.

We still have the asia list to go, they already got Outrun 2019, Sword of Vermillion and bloody Alien Soldier as exclusives

Also, need to see the Asian set of games. Currently it has the best mixture of both the Japanese and Western lineups - if it gets those same two I mentioned above, then that's the version I'm picking up.

@Down by Law - I hated Dynamite Headdy for years but it has some of the most varied gameplay of any MD game. Some of the bosses are incredible in both gameplay and visual design - especially the shoot-em-up level!

But, RKA is better ;)

It's a good list. Lots of real classics, a sprinkling of deep cuts but also in my case exactly ten games that I either dislike or am indifferent towards. Ignoring those titles there's still 32 mostly fantastic games.

It seems Zuntata were involved with the audio for Darius MD. I can't wait to hear that.

:( Half of those are fine. It's also crazy to practically tease EA to us with a SINGLE title. But Virtua Fighter and Eternal Champions? They have zero reason to be there. :(

A character's face is definitely how you decide on the quality of a game.

Seriously though, Headdy is a fantastically inventive platformer. Not only are the bosses and level designs completely nutso, but it looks stunning and pushes the MD to its limits. I just can't imagine disliking it. I wonder if some kind of counselling would help.

Equally though it's crazy that Darius (fan-made port) Megaman Wily Wars (very limited release) and Tetris (basically non-existent release) are included.

If you tried to pick up a 2nd hand Megadrive with some games you'd probably have little chance of finding the likes of Castle of Illusion, Castlevania and Gunstar Heroes.

Castle of Illusion is affordable. Gunstar goes up and down in price/you can get it in a compilation cart usually for about 40. It's Wily Wars and Castlevania that are the rarities (as far as Pal titles that actually got released here)
