How have I never played Rabbit? Also, that video with the scaling on looks fine to me; just the usual intentional slowing on hit and KO. Perhaps youtube not showing up the issue very well?

I have also never played Rabbit, until yesterday when I put right that wrong. And I never really noticed any game breaking glitches or slowdown using a fenrir, however the game itself was slightly disappointing as it commits my personal fighting game cardinal sin. The hits seem to lack real impact. Sometimes the hits were silent, sometimes they had a nice solid hit sound. But this was inconsistent. So hits felt light and not satisfying like they should.

A nice curiosity but not one I think I will be going back to a lot.

Talking of Glitches certain versions of In the Hunt will not load if a controller is attached to Player 1. I just had this issue and thought it might be a Fenrir issue. But if you select the game and then remove the controller till it loads it works fine. Apparently this is an issue that happens with earlier versions of the disc version too.

I'm using m2emu1.1a. I don't have a steering wheel either. I'm using a Xbox one pad. And I'm playing it on Surface 3 laptop so it's integrated graphics as well.  Runs pretty sweetly.

I'm running on gtx 1050ti and a Ryzen 5 3600 and performance is a bit iffy! Did you get the analogue stick and shoulder triggers working? So far I only got the d pad working about the accelerator on sega rally seems stuck.

Edit, searching for the emu only brings finds web archive links, is there s homepage for it anywhere?

Lovely that Colonel Panic! Envious of Battle Garegga there.

11 of the 13 Saturn games I bought on YAJ have arrived at the warehouse. Just waiting on two more before I bundle them together and get them sent here. Typically it's two games I already own on other regions/platforms. Layer Section (I've got a PAL copy of Galactic Attack) and Capcom Generations 1 (own the PS1 PAL version).

I'm so impressed by these RetroBit Saturn controllers. The plastic case and extra PC dongle is most welcome. I wonder if it works on MiSTer!

Did you go for the Bluetooth or 2.4Ghz variant?

Very tempted to buy a Mega Drive & Saturn RetroBit reissue wireless set, but unsure to go Bluetooth, 2.4Ghz or USB.

@Colonel Panic  Are you hiding a RetroTINK5X somewhere in that chain as well? Looks wonderful.

Yep!

It's the 2.4Ghz version with dongles for Saturn and USB.

Not sure, seems like it probably would!

Bluetooth are supposedly a bit rubbish. I have the 2.4ghz version and they're ace.

How much did the boxed console set you back?

Nice!

I too just recently got a Retrotink 5x and it's the best scaler I've ever used. It's so good!

It was €179. An eBay seller in Italy had a few, so I went with him to avoid the inevitable customs you get from Japan atm. Postage was €30 via UPS though!

Yeah, I love it. It replaces an OSSC that I really liked too, but this one supports more inputs and the presets for horizontal sampling and 1440p support deal the deal.

Thanks for the recommendations!

I heard the same but was under the impression that Bluetooth would give me wider scope for compatibility. But in the end, if the lag is better or imperceptible on 2.4Ghz, then I’ll grab one of them instead.

I had a little bonus at work and considering getting a Mega Drive 2 style controller, This is Cool Saturn controller and another MD2 controller just for… Display purposes… 😅

I have a boxed cool pad, is that the same thing you're after?

Sure I posted this before but if you want wireless and an original Saturn pad I got one of these and it works perfectly - comes with a dongle and all.

It's not cheap, that's the main problem. But I have a This is Cool wireless controller now, which is... well, cool.

Edit - oh wait, that's the one that comes with an actual controller shell. You can get ones that are just the PCB, dongle, and charger to install into a pad you already have. They're not much cheaper as those transparent knock-off shells they bundle in are cheap trash anyway.

I'm lazy, so I downloaded the emulator and roms together from archive.org.  Using the M2 emulator configurator.  Triggers just 'work'. I use the multi-cpu version of the emulator which shows you how old it is, seeing as how there's a version for single core machines.

Thanks that's pretty much my set up too. I've tried it on another pc, gtx 1660 super, i7 skylake 4gz. It's exactly the same. It's totally playable but very weird sort of judder effect. It's the same in every game.

Spoke too soon, got it working smoothly. Works really well! Some odd things with opponent cars that seen jump around the track a little

yeah i get that too, it's like they're following s routine which goes out of sync and then the cars jump back to where they're supposed to be. from the videos ive seen other people have the same issue. looks like a timing issue, i suspect it's exacerbated by super fast machines. Seeing as how the emulator is quite old, ive got some old machines at home so i'll give it a bash on my 10 year old Phenom based machine.
