A massive thanks to Simon Phipps for allowing us to use his awesome Rick Dangerous artwork for our cover. If you would like to purchase a poster print of this artwork then head to the store at www.simonphipps.com

So this is it, our 200th Episode! Dean Swain and the rest of the current Retro Asylum team go in search of RA hosts of the past to celebrate 200 episodes of “The UK’s No.1 Retro Gaming Podcast”.

Join us in our longest ever episode, as we look back at the show and discuss how the UK retro scene has evolved since we began Retro Asylum back in 2011.

Well done, will download now.

Cheers mate, in reality it’s our 260th (we’ve done loads of half episodes & specials over the years) anyway I hope that you enjoy the show.

Where did the Popeye carting image come from? I worked on a mobile phone Popeye Kart thing years ago and it reminds me of that.

It’s by an artist called Jeremy Roberts who did say to me that it was originally for a Popeye karting game that never got finished.

Can Mads and Chris jump barrels, climb vines, and solve devious puzzles in this month’s game club episode? Find out right here as we play Donkey Kong on the Gameboy which surprisingly plays very differently to its arcade counterpart! Also we reveal next month’s game – a wonderful SHMUP for you all to play.

I must have missed that bit. We are old gits though and anything after the PlayStation feels new to me.

Ahh, mentioned it as a joke.

Been age since I listened to an episode. Was drawn to the title because I too thought it was unexpectedly on its last episode, thinking oh no!

Anyway good show. Good luck on the gaming challenge.
