I feel like I'm the only one posting in here . The downsides of getting a game second hand I guess =(

Regardless, I made my first course, I think it's pretty fun.

It's a speed run with stars where you have to collect at least 240/241 coins, the timer is tight too, you should have about 3 seconds to spare at the end.

Can someone please help me complete W1Y-1LC-XLG. It's driving me mad.

Am I supposed to be using the trampoline to hit the on/off switch?

I've managed to kill the muncher with the POW block, but then it blocks off the key.

If I go to retrieve the key, before blocking it off with the blue block I either have to use Yoshi or the trampoline. Is there any other way to get the key without using either of them?

I'll admit I'm useless at puzzle levels. I've probably spent 45 minutes on this already and I'm still super stumped.

EDIT: Or I could just google the level code and find a YouTube video with the answer. I don't know if I would have worked it out tbh.

Are you using Yoshi’s tongue?

This weeks Ninji is one of the better ones IMO.

I think the other route is quicker, will try later.

I chopped about a second off that; the other route is definitely quicker but has a harder move involved. I think I can get another second off if I get a good run. I’ve loved all of these challenges so far. I think the Zelda one was my favourite.

Nice job ! Yeah the left route is quicker but trickier for sure. I've spent a while trying to get a better time but I'm pretty happy with what I got.

Yeah it's a great update. Koopalings and world map is a great addition let alone all of the other updates.

Sad to hear it's the last major update though - other games have been supported much better - maybe SMM2 didn't sell as well as nintendo hoped.

I don't buy that. The updates this has had have been incredible. What more could they realistically add?

I need to get back into this. I only really did the story mode (which I loved and completed) and maybe a handful of online courses.

Just found it really hard to select courses I could easily enjoy as there are so many OTT ridiculous ones that people have made which I just don’t have the ability to do.

A new style and extra items for the NSB 3D World style.

If you look at the additional styles, it says "styles" and not "style" meaning they probably were thinking of doing a completely new style in a future update.

3D World also has a massive lack of items. It's become a bit of a joke in the SMM2 community as it's so limited compared to the other styles.

I also thought, following the Link update that we might get some extra costumes or characters like Kirby, Metroid but it seems it was a one time deal. I do still miss the 150+ skins from the original game.

Apart from that though, the update looks great. Tons of new stuff.

I wonder though if that's it for the SMM francise. They might be better off mixing it up with other game styles like metroid, kirby etc in the future.

It’s done nothing to fix the major problem the original game had, which is that it’s pointless to spend time making levels unless you’ve got a marketing degree, and it’s impossible to find interesting levels to play without conducting research first.

If you’ve spent hours creating a course, there’s no way anyone is going to play it unless you’re already famous or you go to substantial lengths to promote it outside of the game. If you’ve got some time to kill, you either need to be looking outside the game or accept the endless stream of shit it gives you to play.

I played the first game for hours battling these issues, so when the second game was announced with no ways of improving those things outside of a few half arsed tags that other people can change on your level, I figured there was no point wasting the time again. From watching it on YouTube I’ve not seen any evidence that it’s any different.

It's a problem the game has always had, correct. However, it's not just SMM2 that it's a problem with. Any game with user created content doesn't get massive promotion. Heck, even if you released a game you made in unity - unless it was anything special it just wouldn't get played. So you do need to somewhat promote it, be it youtube, twitter or sending level codes to streamers.
