skittles Report post Posted January 12 Discovered this absolute gem in Singapore today. So happy this exists! One if the set ups was four gamecubes with the gba (?) Adapter on the bottom, connected to a wii, playing Zelda four swords with 4 small crts and a big flatscreen. Apparently this particular mode they were playing is only available on the Japanese version. Insane. The directions for this place were to go to block 421, find the stairs and take the door down. No signs or anything. Had no idea what we would find. We found this small doorway under the HDB block and then found this.. apparently it's a church gathering Weds and Sundays and then these dudes run it as a gaming meet up spot on Fri and sat. Had a few beers and got our asses completely handed to us on smash! I will be back for sure. So cool. Had a smile on my face the whole time. Tonnes of different consoles and set ups. Spotted a megaCD in the corner, a white Saturn, some rare dreamcasts and tonnes of cabkee, consoles and general dweeby shit all over. A few consoles j didn't recognise at all. I just didn't think Singapore had cool stuff like this. Very fun. Are there any regular local meet ups near you?

Dig Dug Report post Posted January 12 I’m on the train back from a Nintendo players group meet up myself atm. They're always frienfly and laid back if a bit casual. It’s hard for me to get games on smash bros there because everyone knows I’ve been playing it competitively for 5 years. I’m legit starving for something like in the op. I’ve been trying to get gaming weeklies off the ground in my since September without much luck. Winter and exam season really screw me over.

CovisGod Report post Posted January 12 Got nothing near me like this, looks awesome. Infact I've just figured out that I'm probably the only one of my friends in this area that's into gaming I need to find a meet up somewhere around Norfolk And some new friends... Jonster Report post Posted January 12 I help run the weekly fighting game meet up in Nottingham on a Tuesday night. It’s so much better playing in person compared to online and it helps that it’s a bunch of decent people that come along.
Stanshall Report post Posted January 12 I've been to a few Streetly Fighter things at Arcade Club and one when I was visiting my mate in Liverpool. Great atmosphere, really good vibe, tense and competitive but very warm and good natured.
joffocakes Report post Posted January 12 I'm just back from a Glasgow fighting games event the first of many monthly tournaments. It's in The Summoner pub on Pitt Street so you can get a (£4.98) beer too. Pretty nice time. I miss GlesGames though.
