Best one hit wonder of all time

Recommended Posts

I wasn't fond of much pop music in the eighties, but this one stuck with me.

I'm not sure what happened to them. I know they had other songs in the charts but I don't remember them having another hit.

Do you consider "yes" by McAlmont and Butler to be a one hit wonder?

If so, that.

I never heard of McAlmont again, but Butler obviously did some things.

Doesn’t necessarily have to be the 80’s , but I think that’s the decade richest in one hit wonders .

Looking for Linda was definitely a proper hit too.

Never owned it obviously, but I can sing you the chorus if you want.

The number of one hit wonders in this thread who have obviously had several hits is fucking atrocious. You guys are lucky I’m not a mod, that’s all I’m saying.

Yeah, this thread is a little nuts. The best example has to be A-ha though.

Their follow up to Take on Me went to number one.

I was going to say this:

but thought I'd google to make sure they didn't have another hit I'd never heard of. Turns out this only got to number 6 in the pop charts. Does that even count as a hit?
