Lovely track mate. Its funny how when you listen back to your own stuff, in isolation, how different they sound then in the mix. My bassline sequence is driving through much. And i cut the Low end EQ from the lead too far really. Should have kept that in - it sounded quite nice with the lower tones.

I'm scared to try VCV rack, I think it might end up costing me a lot of money

A lot happier with this week's effort, spent a bunch of time making new sounds and playing with my semi-modular stuff and ended up with this: https://streak.club/p/34496/incoming-signal-by-exit-chamber

Lustmord/Kammarheit influenced dark ambient. Would have liked to spend longer on it

That actually reminds me of High Llamas more than straight-up jazz. Not a bad thing, far from it.  Really nice chords.

Anyway this week I made a short and reflective tune - https://streak.club/p/34597/pm-reflection-by-vim

I was using some freeware synth for the piano part but if I played more than 4 notes at once the CPU went over 50% - bonkers. I really like this one though. I might render that bit out and stick it in Ableton Live, finish it there.

Not heard Hi Llamas - with check that out....

Love the new track though - you've got a very unique sound whether your doing 8-bit renditions or orignal tracks like that one. Love the overall sound...

This week, owing to time constraints i re-did a mix of a version of Hubbards "W.A.R." theme.

It still somewhat lacking a certain presence with certain sounds but others work well...

This weeks one from me. Usual case of going to detroit chords (was an old idea i had sitting around). I like the floatiness of it and will work on this area in the future. Wanted it to be techno - but got swayed by cheesy leads and so it went toward a more "electronical" tilt.

In process of buying a couple of hardware synths soon so hopefully that'll aid my sound.

My first track with my first hardware analog...Nuetron through some delays playing various bubbling sequences with me tweaking away...and yeah...i left the click in (rule one of analog - always give the attack a tweak!)...intentional though. Wanted that proper analog click!

Obviously Detroit inspired....i guess it had to be what it would be.

The rest is various VST's with Kontact on 808 duties.

Yes that's a top-sounding track.

I wish that site let you skip through tracks though. I know the guy is working on it but when I see a track is, say, 14mb it puts me off a tad. I do download them though. Yes, I'm a lazy soul who wants it all now.

Thought I'd join in this action and start making a weekly track in Ableton. I'm much more a Logic man for my band stuff, so need to get a lot more hours in Live for upcoming solo material. This is just a little sketch I made in an hour last night. One thing I don't do in Ableton at the mo is to add vocals as I get sucked into synth lines, but my ambition for solo stuff is to eventually make some Thom Yorke-esque tracks. In the meantime, this one's an instrumental and a bit too busy with not enough low end!

That last Thom Yorke solo album is so good. I've been very tempted to find inspiration in it, make some simple, fragile beats. Probably wouldn't want to sing on them though as I am one of those people who cringe when they hear their voice played back.

My latest entry.

Neutron plays the Arpeggio (along with one or two other parts)...and yeah....again...Detroit inspired - hence title. Tried to give a slightly less syncopated feel on the drums. They were humanised @ 4%, and then i shifted the entire drum part across the track a tiny bit forward to give the impression of a slightly off timed piece of hardware (VST drum machines like Spark seem to have subtle timing differences to something like Battery, which i usually used and did here).
