It was my first 3D Sonic, and I prefer it to SA 1 and 2 (no tedious adventure elements bogging it down). But after having played some good 3D games in the meantime, I don't think I'd ever want to go back.

I disagree with your use of the words "latest", "hot", "new" and "games" with respect to Sonic Heroes.

This was an okay game, later levels were pretty sloppily made but I guess it wasn't horrible. It was the beginning of the decline of Sonic, but was easily the best of the worst (Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Sonic '06). I almost lost hope in the Sonic series but I actually found Sonic Unleashed to be quite a bit of fun, I hope the team who made that game will make the next couple of Sonic games, because Unleashed was pretty decent.

So after about 3 years I booted this up and finally beat the Jungle level. That is, I managed to be lucky enough not to fall of any platforms, or loops, or grind sections, or simply not know what Im looking at due to the horrible camera.

The game is fucking awful but I want to finish it.
