God I hope it is Kate Bishop,  she is a far better Hawkeye than Clint has ever been.

Nah Hawkguy is better, both of them together are great though. I wish they did adapted Fraction's version to the movie or even TV series. He's a great character which is wasted.

When I saw Captain Marvel, a guy in the back whooped at the end of the mid-credit scene. I know this is par for the course in America, but in stoic old Blighty something about that really warmed my heart.

Steve being front and centre in the new poster means a lot to me (I've realised I can't just say "Cap" anymore). Six weeks is nothin'

Yup. I think Infinity War was very much Tony as the lead hero and his journey with Thanos and this one will be Caps movie. It also making me think going to die.

They've quickly amended the poster after a bit of backlash. All the characters on the poster were credited on top, except Danai Gurira, who was relegated to the barely legible credits on the bottom. They've moved her up with the rest now.

I am hoping all the original Avengers either die or retire and get replaced by women and POC, not only are most of them a lot more interesting than their male counter-parts - Hawkeye especially, the amount of anger from the incel community would just be fucking fantastic.

Perhaps, in this continuity, Kamala Khan could be a big Iron Man fan rather than a Captain Marvel fan?

(I was going to go with Cap, but then remembered that there's America Chavez who'd fit right in.)

Who, in the name of sanity, is that?

I need to check when Captain Marvel finishes it's run.

I've a horrendous cough (as does my wife & daughter) that I'm waiting for to end so's not to spoil others enjoyment of the film. I need another couple of weeks to be on the safe side.

This trailer reminds of the first Infinity War teaser, with its focus on nostalgically looking back on how far we've come. Where that teaser included the full character shots from the Marvel Studios logo sequence, set to the "an idea to bring together a group of remarkable people" voiceover, this trailer uses red-highlighted b&w shots from the earlier films.

Any idea what the red highlighted black and white footage signifies? They must have done it for a reason, but I can’t think of anything to link it to.

I'm not going to spoiler this, because at this stage it's just speculation, but this

avnegrs-endgame-trailer2.jpg

is the face of a man who is about to sacrifice his life for the greater good.

This film is going to have us all greeting at the end. No two ways about it. The only superhero film to ever do that to me before was Logan.

Isn't all the footage meant to be from the first third of the film? In that case, I doubt it.

It's my understanding that this is only true about the first trailer we saw, so who knows what we're seeing here.

It might have some weight I guess if this is Evans leaving the role, like Jackman bowing out as Wolverine, but one of my problems with franchise movies is death means nothing anymore. Emotive fatigue from too many fake out endings.

He used the gauntlet after the snap.

The Snap was an event so massive that it clearly took a toll on the Gauntlet but it still works.

Is it - or could it be - drained? Dunno. Suspect we’ll find out next month.

Doesn't he technically just use the Space Stone? That could imply he could just use one at a time like a 'normal' person. Actually, though, I doubt that'll be a plot point. The MCU doesn't do nerdy, "Well, technically..." stuff very often and I think the gauntlet will be fully operational.

Screencrush did a good trailer breakdown his theories are:

Spoiler

Nat's hair gives a lot away! It's blonde & short, then blonde and long, then red growing back in, then red when she meets up with Ronin.

He speculates that we end up a good few years away from the snap (Nat's hair's red, Ronin Mohawk)  before the Avengers are able to suit up in the quantum realm suits and do the do. This implies that they try something before this and it fails, perhaps.

He also says that seeing Ant-Man leaping around fiery office equipment might mean he's back in the Battle of New York, which loads of people have speculated we'll see again.

Scott is also seen in security footage from 1983 in trailer 1# then sees loads of 'missing' posters and dilapidated/overgrown houses in trailer #2 which implies he's stuck in the 'time vortex' that original Wasp/Michelle Pfeiffer cautions him about in Ant-Man and The Wasp.

This further suggests his zipping around is the key that enables Tony (maybe) to utilise and stabilise this ability to travel back in time and space to stop Thanos. Which would again mean that it takes years to get to that point, as it can only happen once Scott 'arrives' through the time vortex in the future era (the 'Red Head' era :)  )

He mentions Hulk's absence being down to the fact we'll see 'Smart Hulk' (fusion of Banner and Hulk) in the film and Marvel don't want to spoil it, but the most interesting thing for me is the Captain Marvel presence - or more specifically, the lack of it. We see her arrive in the 'Short Blonde' era soon after the Snap at the end of her film, and again when Thor tries to intimidate her using Stormbringer in this trailer.

There's no sign of her at all in the Red Head era, though. Whether this is a misdirect similar to the Hulk's absence and they're just not spoiling the reveal, or whether it means something more serious (incapacitated/at the other end of the universe) we don't know. I think it's just as likely she's not around as it is that she's being hidden. She may be involved in the 'Short Blonde' era acting as an Avenger, but decide to leave as she's needed elsewhere in the universe and that her presence on Earth isn't necessary (which is then exploded by Scott's appearance in the Red Head era) or she could be completely involved. Who knows!

The other big absence is of Strange, of course. I can imagine we don't see most of the others (Black Panther, Falcon etc.) until some final battle, but I think we'll see a lot more Strange and him being much more influential in events.

Anyway, it's all interesting speculation, whether any of it's correct or all bollocks!

It's not franchise movies it's comics. Everybody at some point will die, have someone else take over their mantle for a while only to return at a later date. Often done multiple times.

My guess - Stark dies, Cap has timey-wimey stuff happen and gets to be with Peggy.
