Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 - Switch Exclusive - Developed by Team Ninja

Those game awards were bloody terrible, but I don't suppose anyone saw a Team Ninja-developed, Nintendo-published Marvel game coming.

Especially because one would assume the "ultimate alliance" name is tied to Activision  But whatever - however Nintendo managed to swing this doesn't matter, we're finally getting a UA3! :omg:

Yeah, I thought that was weird. Maybe Nintendo have signed a deal with the devil and we're getting Mario + Call of Duty at the Olympic Games or something.

It's published by Nintendo, isn't it? I could see it being a lot longer than a year exclusitivity. Probably more like Lego City Undercover, which took a generation until it was released on other things.

It will come to other platforms a few months after Bayonetta 2 appears on Ps4 and Xb1.

Seems like the new Marvel way, get somebody else with a load of money to fund their games as Disney are clearly too poor to do so themselves ;)

The main interesting thing about this is seeing what a Japanese action game developer can do to differentiate themselves from a formerly made in the West game series (which I always found the wrong side of tedious, despite playing them co-op with a comic book nut, BG: Dark Alliance or Diablo will always be GOAT for me, and I don't even like fantasy as a genre, which just demonstrates that great gameplay can triumph setting).

Some gameplay:

I'm in after that video. Which is very unusual for me in 2019, as the only game I've played is Picross S3.

Looks all a bit too Musuo-influenced to me, and not like the previous entries. Even in those videos (the first one being at the start of the game) enemies look to be rather spongey. Disappointing.
