Popular Post Steve McQueef
Spoiler Cassian not being aware that he was helping to build the weapon that would ultimately kill him, is some dark and heavy shit.

scottcr
that was very good.... Spoiler And who didn't get serious Darth Maul vibes when Luthen was speeder biking over the fields towards his ship....?

ZOK
Brilliant stuff! Like @MardiganX said, the gathering of the plotters was just beautiful. Although it did make me laugh when Luthen pulled his hood up to hoon off on his hyper bike. Goggles probably more useful! My favourite bit: Spoiler When Vel said to Cinta ‘You’ve got blood on you’, and instead of saying ‘it’s not mine’ which my cliché-addled lizardbrain was automatically expecting, she just said ‘it’s nothing’, like the cold hearted rebel assassin she is.
Benny
Fbthlum. flibbit blergh argh wurgh. I've just been roused beyond the capacity for rational thought. Fucking immense. Goosebumps. Chills. Nailed. It.
Bucky
Yeah, that was brilliant. Spoiler I also think they showed admirable restraint in the finale to ensure that all the opposing parties (the Rebel and Imperial assassins, Dedra Meero, Syral Karn, Luthen and Andor) didn't bounce off each other in series of unlikely events. The ending was only ever going to be that ending...sign posted from day one... but cinematically so elegant in its portrayal. It's funny how the death part of the Death Star was the last part to be put in place, the Emperor didn't make that mistake a second time.
Benny
My favourite scene may not be what you're expecting: Spoiler Syril and Dedra's budding sub/dom fascist love story is one of the funniest, most disturbing, and incredible things, and I was watching that scene where they are cramped together in that store room with a mixture of revulsion and glee.
Benny
The music in the last episode was especially good too, particularly the credits. Just overall a fantastic series. Roll on part 2.

Spoiler One of the reasons it's so good though is it reveals so much about the inner nature of their fanaticism and makes them so much more terrifying as characters because they can still live lives with similar desires as anyone else. Like the rest of the show it lays bare the structures of dominance and control.
SpagMasterSwift
Spoiler I think the show peaked with the prison break and the last couple of episodes have been in its shadow, but when that Imperial shuttle landed and Dedra came out with those death troopers I was as hard as Syril.

Darren
Fantastic as always. This week on Space Fascism we had Kettling, trigger happy cops frightened of the people they’re supposedly there to protect, and a shot of Luthen looking over the city that could have been Gaza.
Popular Post jonamok
Just fucking immense. Nothing to add really beyond what’s been said, bar one thing not mentioned: the voiceover from Spoiler the rebel lad’s manifesto was some powerful, moving, prescient shit. Basically an astonishing piece of television, from start to finish. All the more remarkable that it took place in a cinematic universe that has been largely creatively moribund for decades. Right. Time for a rewatch.

Waggo
Absolutely superb ending to what has been a fantastic show. Gutted there will be no more for a year or more now. The look of: Spoiler Revulsion combined with growing attraction on Dedra’s face merits a 10 for the episode on it’s own. Once again brilliant casting and acting.

Benny
I've just realised because of the character name "Dedra Meero" I've been mixing it up in my brain in all my posts and calling her "Meera". Doh

Sexton Hardcastle
Five stars! I loved that by having the Imperials all played by English actors they found the most Irish sounding member of the cast to give a speech on rising up against invading oppression.
lolly
They stuck the landing. lots of people have mentioned the various nuances in the final episode so I won't bother apart from one thing Spoiler O'Reilly's disgust as Mon Mothma when they meet the son is palpable, she doesn't have a lot to do in this episode but it's masterfully done.
Benny
Probably the one criticism I would have about that episode is: Spoiler Not quite enough Mon Mothma. I'd have lapped up another twenty minutes with a bit more going on in her world.

Pob
When the Prefect of Ferrix Spoiler turns B2EMO over, people across the country cried out in unison "oh you are so fucked now".
