Star Wars: Andor

I liked Rogue One but I never really bought his character. I'd be willing to give him a chance to improve though, it's a very interesting period in the SW timeline and it might work out will with the increased breathing space a TV series offers.

I'm gonna just steal these shows.

Yeah, I really like it but have spoken here before about not buying the switch from the Andor at the start who will kill a fellow Rebel for the sake of the mission to the guy who refuses to fire on Galen. I get what they were aiming for, I just don’t think the film established his conflict well enough.

A show how that can develop him more and inform his choices in the later film would be great. (It won’t be great.)

I felt his conflict totally comes from his growing relationship with Jyn.. and likely the events on Jehda just prior. I can't remember dialog specifically but that seemed pretty clear to me when last watching the film.

Pretty sure you and I covered it previously in the actual Rogue One thread

Won't rehash it here but it just didn't work for me.

Maybe yeah, I don't remember it at all... and I've certainly watched the film a few times since discussing it here, and I never had a problem with Cassian's motives at all, but YMMV as with anything.

..but yes, anyways. This is an interesting and quite left-field choice for a TV from Lucasfilm, I'll certainly be giving it a watch when it's ready in like 2 or 3 years.

I'll happily pay for a month to binge watch (as long as there's not a year's minimum contract or something), but yeah, otherwise I'm not interested in the service.

I don’t think I will even torrent this series, let alone pay for it.

why don’t they make a TV show on what went wrong at Luke’s Jedi academy to bridge all the holes in the new trilogy’s logic? De-age Hamill and show us why he turned into such a prick  - he ain’t that expensive, or going to be with us forvever.  Instead the whole thing is turning into sub-Star Trek.

George Lucas would turn in his grave*.
