Worked for me last night- it’s definitely a bit shonky though, sometimes it triggers straight away, sometimes I have to stay in a lobby for longer. And weirdly, last night the playing with friends triggered before the playing a pc game points.

I tend to find it one of the more reliable sources of points with it being fine on a daily basis for good while and indeed about 10 min's ago this morning. 

 

Are you picking a host that you know for sure is starting the game? I've been doing it for that long now that I've settled on using one of two favourite hosts that always seem to get me the Play With Friends points within a couple of minutes of me joining their game. 

 

Like @Retroguysays I've had the rewards trigger in seemingly the wrong order and sometimes notifications of them popping come through repeatedly on my PC up to a few hours after getting them!?!

I rarely have an issue in playing a round of Halo Infinite multiplayer (usually pops half to two thirds of the way through a match) but like everything else in the rewards ecosystem in can sometimes be flakey and occasionally (but only very occasionally) refuses to work at all.

 

Play with friends does often pop before play a pc game though I’ve also noticed .

Checked on the Xbox mobile app randomly today and I finally have access to the rewards points in there as well. Seems really weird that I'm getting 75 points a day for essentially just playing a level of Jewel. It's not like my friends list is suddenly going to dip below 7 and my Gamepass sub is locked in for 3 years. Makes the rewards in the actual Gamepass app look really stingy by comparison.

The real star of the show is the "play a game with friends on PC". Load up Age of Empires and you'll see there are loads of lobbies called things like "Daily MS points - no play". Sit in one of those for ten minutes (no need to start a game) and collect 250 points every day.

Well I was just combining everything together but really all I have to do is open the app and play Jewel to get 75 points a day. 30 points to play Jewel, 15 points for opening the Xbox app, 15 points for having more than 7 friends and 15 points for having a Gamepass sub. The latter two things giving daily points is kind of weird.

 

Can't get the PC one unfortunately.

That seems more generous then on my version which gives me 5 points for playing Jewel and a total bonus of 7 points for linking a social account, having more than 7 friends on Live and a Gamepass sub when I complete that task.

 

But the daily mobile login bonus is a separate ‘task’ and increases daily from 5 points to 25 points before resetting after 5 consecutive days.

 

You also get extra points for the play a PC game on Gamepass and the play with friends tasks which add up to another 300 points a day or so.

That happens fairly regularly for me - fully closing the app (swiping it off the phone screen or whatever) and restarting usually sorts it out.

Yeah I tried that a couple of times but no dice. Still, it was a few days of easy points that will live long in the memory

So, the somewhat temperamental Achieve More, Earn more........is soon (at least on the Rewards app) to be no more.....

Fine by me as the quest side of things always seems far more reliable than the rewards side, with me able collect the points for playing a daily game / completing a game specific quest pretty much straight away. I wonder if they'll leave it at 50 points a day, perhaps alter the amount or maybe have it that you have to get x amount of achievements over the week / month week to trigger a one off sum of points. Time will tell eh :)!

Can't say I'm bothered as I was never one for chasing a daily achievement. 50 points? I don't get out of bed for 50 points!

 

Please ignore for the purposes of this point that I can play the Xbox without getting out of bed.

I have played games I would never have otherwise played because of Rewards - if it wasn't a bespoke 'play x' for a weekly quest, I sometimes check how easy a quick achievement is for the 50 points a day thing.  In most cases, I carry on playing after I've done the quests.

 

It's meant I've enjoyed some things I would otherwise have missed out on. 

 

Game Pass is just ace.

I didn't actively chase it but I could still earn a reasonable amount of reward points while playing through a lengthy non-Gamepass game. I assume that'll no longer be the case if it's moving to the Gamepass app.

Looks like it's one achievement a week for 50pts now. Drop but might stop me playing games purely for the points and neglecting those I actually want to play.

Speaking of playing games you don't want to. 

 

If you're after the Outriders weekly, you only have to play the opening tutorial up to the point where you do the shooting tutorial. You'll get mid teens of kills, so will need to do it twice to get the 28 you need. To do this, you have to completely quit the game - like go back to your Xbox front end and close the game - then start a new game.

 

What little I've played of it makes me think it's awful. Not least because the camera and gun aiming is beyond twitchy.

I played it and gave it a chance when it was a "quest" previously - it is indeed utter bobbins - so I'm not doing that. So this month I haven't done a single one of the 250 point challenges as they were all for games I had already tried or games I wasnt interested in. So I "lost" 1250 points but I still cleared over 20k this month.

 

That daily play a pc game online is a real winner :D
