Wait until tomorrow as its the first so the monthly 2k points offer will likely be available on the Xbox app and that always requires 3 achievements.

For the Injustice 2 weekly:

Go single player -> the multiverse

The planet in the far right is the battle simulator. Go into that, then right twice to the ten fight ladder

Pick any fighter (batman and superman are the ken and ryu) and set the difficulty to very easy.

You can button bash through the ten fights in a couple of minutes. 

 

If you're feeling particularly lazy, when you select you character, it'll ask you to pick a load out. If you hit left a couple of times, it'll say "AI load out 2". Pick this and the game does the fighting for you and it still counts as wins. You just have to hit A a couple of times to advance after each fight.

For anyone like me who already had that achievement, you get one for doing the prologue of Opus and starting chapter 1. Takes two or three minutes.

Two months in and got enough for £25 Microsoft gift cards!

 

Having a lot of fun with it to be honest. I got rid of social media and I am using this instead to give me that random let's check fix. I am definitely leaving alot of points to be had, and may start chasing them too. 

 

Just happy knowing that I may be able to knock chunks off the next Xbox for doing some pretty simple stuff daily. Plus I get some interesting facts in the daily sets! 

 

@Mallet thanks for the answers by the way! Nice 100 points!

Worth noting you need to have played it before to do this - if not, you actually have to do a forced tutorial planet that covers the 10 wins anyway ;)

...and you have to play them, because the AI Loadout isn't available in the tutorial. 

 

Being a tutorial, though, the bouts are super easy.

It's actually a really good game, as was the first one. Really easy to get into with essentially just low, medium and high attacks, but there's then loads of depth when you get into it a bit more. The story is good and there's tonnes and tonnes of content, including loads of varied characters, a decent gear system (that I'm surprised they didn't copy across to Mortal Kombat 11), challenges that change every day and a decent multiplayer scene.

 

The only problem is that the gear (and shaders) are obtained through loot boxes. Though I don't think you can buy them with real world money and the game is really generous with them. There's actually a bit too much gear for each character as well, which makes it harder to get stuff you want for your main.

Might be a shakeup coming for the App rewards. This morning there was no play with friends (and it didn't unlock for me yesterday) but the play a PC game was worth 50 points. Net loss but a bit less faff if they go with that. Now it's back to the usual 250 points layout.

 

 

Close to cashing in for a Series X but in no rush as too much to play and still rocking a 1080p TV (hoping to upgrade later this year - not looking for a Series S as my One X and PC have me covered at that level).

Did both of those however as per usual nothing registered :( contacted support about it, but I'll try again with some diff achievements. Trying Opus now

There's a new set of quests on the Game Pass app, and one of them is to play four sodding online games of Madden sodding 22. It's the 250pt quest, as well. You can't even do this on PC Game Pass, so that's me out, but even leaving this aside what a stupid quest. The existing Madden community will be annoyed by the influx of people who are just there to farm points. A game of Madden takes bloody ages and is completely mystifying to a new player. I don't know if you can just immediately quit, but if so, that's going to be even more annoying to the actual Madden players.

 

Has there ever been a worse Game Pass quest?

 

I hate calling them quests. The whole thing demeans everyone involved.

Just go for a quick match, kick off, and then quit. That’s what I did this morning, it didn’t take long.
