Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Nintendo 'considered' multiplayer Gamepad support before the WiiU's launch in the face of substantial outcry. It's just their marketing damage control and probably doesn't signify the outcome either way for A.C. They're generally a slow, stubborn and inflexible company who are redeemed by their creation of gaming treasures.

I guess that’s not too bad, multiplayer is very welcome but still there’s no reason I can see for only allowing one unique island per console, especially for online subscribers.

It’s so much better sharing an island though. Building together, leaving each other notes and gifts. My memories of playing this and finding letters sent by my little sister, then years later burying bells outside my kids house are my best animal crossing memories.

Yeah I think the shared islands will be lovely.

Wasn't it shared villages on the original GC version? One village per memory card but multiple players with separate houses. Or am I misremembering it? I'm sure there was at least one version where your family could all have their own houses in the same village.

I’m on the fence about this one.

Something very unrealistic about living on an island effectively run by some unscrupulous, droopy-eyed, fat, pompous bastard who can’t talk properly, deciding who he lets in and is clearly only doing it for money and power.

 rings a bell!

I was really hoping they would join the flat earth society and stop with the weird world on a roll thing. I had hoped it was the 3DS holding it back because of processing power.

I thought that was a brilliant idea.

Who wants 9 minutes plus of annoying Americans sniffing a new Switch and looking at it like its the contents of the lost ark of the covenant - this is YouTube at its finest where you get at most 30s of content strung out for way too long. Console looks pretty though, as does the tile sat on my console teasing me that the game is pre-loaded.
