I haven’t done much visiting islands before.

 

Does anyone have Leif in their village and wouldn’t mind me coming over to get some plants? I am gardening and I didn’t get enough of the red shrub things when she was last at mine.

 

I am useless at good items but I have a cool gong I can gift.

No Leif today but happy to keep an eye out for him if nobody else has him visiting

Red Hibiscus? How many do you need? I don't have Leif today, but have some in my storage from buying in preparation for doing some landscaping.

That’s the one! Although I also have Yellow Hibiscus on all second tier landscaping, and to be honest, I need fucking LOADS. Having an organisational form of OCD is keeping me occupied. Thanks for the offer though, it’s appreciated.

 

Do we do visiting nights on here sometimes? I’d like to see some of your islands and bring you all gongs.

 

I’ve no real clue how the deeper mechanics of this work and I’m still confused about most things as it’s my first AC but I am having a great time and it’s absolutely mind blowing how I can spend 8 hours terraforming a fucking diving ramp. I love it.

 

I really need to find a way to get Scoot and O’Hare to fuck off, though.

I have Leif today. Can open now but don’t think we are friends yet but my thingy is in my signature. Also have Celeste trapped if anyone is after some more recipes but no meteor shower.

I could definitely do with a top up!

 

I also like wandering around other people’s islands for ideas and to see more of the animals, as the variation seems to be massive. Here are some more things I’m wondering about the game.

 

- O’Hare is moving out and I am PUMPED AS HELL FOR THIS. Do I need to wait until after he has disappeared to start looking for new villagers with Nook Miles Tickets? I don’t want Tom inviting another person at random as he seems to have a strong liking for idiots, and last time he got Scoot in, who appears to wear underpants on his fucking head.

- Some of the items I have access to (like street lamps) are green and I can’t purchase any other colour or even customise them. Green looks dumb as hell. How do I get black ones so my town square doesn’t look like some kind of shit child’s painting.

- I am missing a lot of DIY recipes. I get how to get them now, but at the start of the game I kinda ignored them, so I am lacking. Or like, my recipe book isn’t as full as it should be. If anyone has spares I would love to trade with something. I would be STOKED for a bamboo speaker recipe right now.

- I don’t think I have peaches or pears or apple fruits :(

- I don’t have lilies or pansies or windflowers or hyacinths or tulip flowers :(

 

My island has cherries and cosmos as native. I like cherries but cosmos are boring as hell and I’ve made roses the dominant flower in my design so far (and hibiscus obvs).

 

I guess it’s kinda tough playing on your own and trying to do everything. I would love to visit more of your islands and improve the experience for myself in the game. I am working on my own island design and I love the daily progress I am making so I’d also like to invite others from here to my island at some point too. Also, at some point, it would be great if Celeste came to my island as I have seen her exactly once and I don’t have a single star fragment.

Nook ticket items like the street lamps typically come in a number of colour variants but each of us only has one available.  To get the rest you need to do trades with other people.  A full list of the variants is available at https://animalcrossingworld.com/guides/new-horizons/nook-miles-outdoor-furniture-rewards-every-item-color-variant/

Many of us have a boat load of Nook Miles and little to spend them on so you'll probably find a few of us happy to just give items away.  I have the white street lamps  (sorry!)

I only have a few spares at themoment as I tend to clear them out a couple of times a week but you are welcome to the lot of them if you come visit

Most of my fruit were picked this morning but there is a small patch near the south beach where you can grab the ones you are missing

Have a look in Nooks Cranny when visiting other island as the selection of seeds varies.  Leif also has them

Doing everything on your own is tough as the game is definitely designed around a degree of sharing, trading and visiting others.  Agree that doing some stuff all on your own is satisfying and one of the ways the game lets you to sort of set your own goals

Celeste will appear once a week after 19:00, she chooses a random day on which you are due to get a light or heavy shower of shooting stars.  She can sometimes be a bit hard to find depending on your island layout.

You need to wish on shooting stars (press A with nothing in your hands) for them to appear on the beach next day.  I have a tonne of spare fragments so can give you quite a few if you want.

 

I have a big shower due tomorrow evening if you want to visit then
