Um, when/how are you supposed to meet Pascal? I've fished up about four scallops, and nothing.

 

I also got Redd today...I'm hoping they've made him more regular? He had three genuine pieces, too. I have a fake Mona Lisa left if anyone wants it.

He popped up with the first scallop I fished up but has not reappeared since.  I think in New Leaf he appears on a random scallop and a maximum of once a day, no idea if its the same in New Horizons

I looked around the internet and everywhere seems to at least imply he arrives on the first scallop...I'm going to reset the game.

Appeared for me on the first one but my son had to catch 5 before he popped up.

I restarted the game, found another scallop (eventually) and still no Pascal. I'll just have to keep trying. ;_;

 

Edit: aaand finally he appears after about three hours and filling my inventory multiple times.

I dived this morning with it and this evening without it and I couldn't see any difference

Anyone notice that when a villager leaves, they often dump one of their items in the recycling box? Sometimes it's an item I gifted them. Ouch...
