I went to one island last night where Celeste was, and got the Cancer table recipe, then heard she was at another island so zoomed over there.  She didn't give me another recipe though, so I guess it's only 1 per day max?

 

Not seen her on my island for weeks, but if she comes once a week, I guess that means I've just missed her?

 

In other exciting news, I got my first framed portrait of an islander, from Audie.  I've been talking to them all every day since launch, but never bothered with giving gifts.  Started giving them all my unwanted fossils now that I've finished that part of the museum, and that must have tipped her over the threshold.  She can sod off now, and let someone new come.

Never followed these games before but my 8 year old is massively into gaming at the moment especially with her pals from school. Can someone basically give me a summary of what you do as I’ve ordered her a copy. Albeit at £70 for a physical copy of the game :(

Yeah, it's one Celeste recipe a day.  She appears once a week after 19:00 so is missable if you don't look each evening especially as she can be hidden by scenery sometimes.

Who knew that Owls like to hide in the trees!

I believe that the first time you talk to her in any Zodiac Month you get the new Zodiac recipe rather than a normal Celeste one.  (I got Cancer Table a couple of evenings ago)

 

As far as I know you can only get the villagers framed pictures in response to a gift so even if you are at max friendship level already you still need to keep giving gifts in order to have a chance of getting their picture in return.

I also only have one, Tank, which he posted me after I gave him a big birthday present.  None of the others have given me theirs after birthday gifts though and I've now recently started giving them all a gift everyday in hope that I get some more pictures soon.

You do what you want.

It's simple and relaxing. It guides you through most things and there's <b>no way to fail</b>. Nothing you do is wrong.

 

Fishing. Catching bugs. Growing flowers. Digging up fossils to identify and put in the museum. Buying art to put in your museum (if it's no fake).

Popping balloons that drift by to get presents.

Expanding your tent/house. Decorating your house. Decorating your island.

Inviting animal villagers to live on your island and making them your best friends.

Meeting shop keepers and visiting stalls to buy things.

It worked! Got Lyman's framed picture after giving him a T.Rex Torso. I have been giving all my animals a gift everyday though.

To get a framed picture your gift must be worth 2,500 bells or more. Fossils sell for 2,500 so work well. Giving random clothing or smaller items doesn't really cut it most of the time.

My gate is open because my son is fishing on my island as it’s raining. Shop is empty as always but Sahara is on the beach on the left side near the black roses. I’m still not really done renovating but I’ve not had as much time this week.

Yeah, thats true.  In New Leaf Pascal would occasionally appear when you picked a scallop up from the seabed and offer you an item from the pirate set as a swap for it
