I have Ozzie in my campsite today. Is there a way to pick which resident he swaps with when I invite him? Currently when I do he goes off to resident services and when he comes back saying it's full, he asks if it's ok if he talks to Rex about swapping, is there a way to have a choice who he swaps with?

At this point it will be locked in. If you quit the game fast enough (using the home button and force closing) you can reload and try again and he will pick again. But if the game gets a save in then the selected villager is fixed.

Thank you. Fay spent so long wandering around Booksie and going "oooooooh, look at that" so we ran out of time. Just found out you can plug a USB keyboard into the switch dock and type in game using that which also helped.

 

We'd love to come see your island sometime. I think Fay is opening up her work in progress for visitors tomorrow evening so I hope some of you can come.

 

She'd also like to join in with the regular watering crew, is that still going?

I've still got a few colours to get, but mainly blue roses, so I still need a regular daily water and can reciprocate. Plus you have a Stontium Dog avatar which only increases my desire to help out

I took a trip to Bellville yesterday, I think it was late afternoon or early evening. After watering the flowers I got to explore your island thouroughly with no interruptions from other travellers coming in or flying out. 

I must admit I simply adore a lot of the detail you've put in to the layout of the island. The Sega arcade is friggin awesome and the wrestling ring is a fun addition. 

I can't wait for to continue working on my island but I'm still playing the flower breeding game which has become my main focus now. I only need green mums and purple tulips now. I never thought the purple tulips would be so hard to get, they seem quite common to me. 

As soon as I've got a few more blue and purple roses I'll be able to free up loads of land to start play around with. 

I've planned for an outdoors art display themed cafè but with the slow rate of Redds visits it seems likely that will be the very last thing that will be finished of my current plans. 

I do wonder, however, if there'll be enough room for me to cram in everything I want to do on my island, which has got me thinking about possible changes to the game whenever the inevitable DLCs are released. 

 

The map in the airport terminal has always bugged me, as it has a smaller island to the north-west which seems to have a little dock, perhaps for a boat: 

 

I do wonder if that's a hint of what's to come at some point. If they bring back swimming, perhaps we get to swim there some day as it seems to be nothing but shallow waters between the two islands. I wouldn't mind a second, smaller island, one that perhaps is off limits to visitors, a small private island if you will. 

 

Anyways, whoever leaves their gates open will get a visit by me and my watering can whenever I'm online, I just love travelling around and help make pretty flowers breed.

Depending on how many parts there are for the mammoth in total, I’ve got either 11 or 12 yet to be discovered fossils; every day I dig up all 5 and every day now for weeks I’m told the museum already has fossils such as these; Blathers is tempted to buy them for his own personal collection, but no, he must show restraint. 
 

Come on! How can I be getting so many duplicates?! 
 

Also - one of my villagers has fleas! What gives? Does she need medicine, or is that just for bug bites?

Sadly I walked away to craft some medicine and when I came back the flea infection had cleared itself up. Maybe I’ll drop some garbage And weeds in Marina’s front garden...

I've still got lots of little spaces that need renovation, I've also been clearing flower dumping grounds from breeding. It's nice to work on little areas and improve them gradually.

 

I'm in end game flower territory too so happy to arrange watering if required, I can always use an extra water!

 

Watering spot is everything above Galaga. I might put the arcade above there once I'm done with flower breeding.

Hmm, I didn't water all your flowers, then. Sorry about that. I focused on the flowers that were in the more or less fenced in area (surrounded by paths more like). I didn't water the patch of black roses north of the bigger flower patch. I'll rectify on my next visit.

I've a feeling I've diluted my red hybrid pansies with some non hybrids, it's been a week since I've had a large patch of reds but no purple. I know the odds are low but I'm going back to square one. 

 

So anyone who visits today will have no watering to do and there won't be that much in the days to come. It's sorely tempting to beg a purple pansy and be done with it all, but I know that my interest in daily play will tail off rapidly if I do that. 

 

Hope to see a few more visitors nonetheless. 

 

Oh and I may need some pansy seeds, who has them in their shop?

No problem, they ended up where they ended up, and it's not the most convenient place, but I don't have any custom design slots left to make watering signs

 

As I've cleared the area right in front of the airport I might make that the final breeding area to maximise traffic from casual waterers and make the final push.

 

Still need purple pansies, purple hyacinths, green Mums and, natch, blue rose.

I just had a quick look through the watering posse messages and it took me over a week to get a purple out of my reds. IIRC I did start moving them around a bit and swapping in new Red/Blue Reds.
