Is everyone else doing the wedding photos on Harvey's Island? I was getting  a tad fed up of it all but today's session was ace.

 

Also, my most irritating resident Lobo is off. Him and his 'bug friends' can do one. I am delighted by this. Last week I sent him a letter than simply said 'leave'. I sent everyone else on my island a AC Nintendo Switch.

Yes - mixed views on this. I set up a wedding scene a couple of weeks ago. Nice fenced area with posh chairs, engagement ring, floral bouquets and an orchestral quartet with the white instruments. Quite creative for me.

 

Then here we are with access to a load of purpose built furniture and accessories which perfectly suit my scene. But little or no imagination needed to set it up. 

 

On the other hand I did get this nice photo of the organ in a thunderstorm.

The wedding thing...I just dump as many items as possible into the room and get 11 hearts each time. I think next week you can potentially earn more. I'm not really into it tho, who really wants this wedding stuff on their island? Although I'd love an organ if it was medieval/gothic themed...

Um I want the wedding stuff. I could do with a few more of the chairs if you aren't spending your crystals on stuff for yourself...

Well, I'll still buy everything for the sake of it and dump it in storage. :D But I'll let you know if I have any left over at the end of the month. I haven't actually spent any so far, I was planning on a huge splurge on the final day. I'm guessing it's 'not for sale' in the catalogue.

Yeah, i've been doing it every day.  I was just building some stalls near my plaza and was going to have a posh stalls area which I have now turned into a wedding shop.  Just need a few more heart crystals so i can get the remaining things to put in it

WARNING

 

There is apparently an 8 item a day purchase limit. So do not save up until the last day. Not tested it myself (or bought anything but I’m going to get started).

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to write down what I've already purchased. I wish you could always see little icons denoting things you already have catalogued, etc.

Yeah I finally got round to looking yesterday and weddings aren't my thing.

 

If the prizes are also all weddings I'l skip this one and wait for the next event because as a general concept I like it, I just can't be fucked to dress up a church to win more stuff I'll just sell or dump.

Random quality of life tip btw,

 

Once you're a distance in the money trees aren't worth that much.

 

But what I've done is placed a few near my shop so that if something cool is in and I happen to not have money on me to cover it I can just pop out and grab the funds without traipsing to the bank.

Oh Nintendo... I thought the whole point of introducting the Dodo delivery/liquidation system was because Cyrus would hand me the items there and then? Everything has to be done in the slowest, most overwrought fashion possible. Every letter reads exactly the same too.

It also looks like I'm going to have to start deleting letters soon, and that takes 4 button presses each time.

I assume the "go for delivery" etc is as you need up to 2 slots available for the item of furniture and heart crystals that Reese gives you, also later on there are a couple of recipe cards given too.

Of course they could have just given you the items if you had space and mailed them to you if you didn't, that would seem to be a better solution.

The "go for delivery" functionality isn't even available on mystery island where it would actually be useful either, I assume that is as it could be abused for a lot of bells on tarantula/ scorpion islands.

 

As for deleting letters I had to have a mass deletion a couple of weeks ago and binned about 150 in one long and boring slog.  I now tend to be a bit more on top of deleting them straight away to avoid a repeat.
