I feel ya. He only just appeared for me today.

 

I've been to other's islands and ordered quite a bit of fake stuff. I have two valiant statues and some haunted paintings (scary painting, woman turning backwards, pearl earring)

I would want them more than non fakes. Are they animated?

I'm making art displays around the island, in cafés, restaurants, librarys etc. They make for nice variation to the bog standard furniture imo.

At a certain time of day they switch around a little...pearl earring opens/closes her eyes. Woman facing backwards faces...forwards. Scary painting's mouth switches from a grin to a scowl. There's a bunch of others too, including statues that glow.

 

Isn't there a thing with the TV? It shows static late at night, then tunes into aliens at 3am or something?

I need them all, more than proper art.

With hybrids you will always see this sort of thing. If you were trying to make more oranges then separate your two. If you’re trying to make another hybrid then patience.

It's my 40th birthday today and for want of a huge rave with all my mates, gates are about to open to friends if anyone wants a visit and nose about :P  The party the villagers held was a joy.

 

Shop is all but cleared out but happy to build or order anything and if any new players still need fossils I've got loads.

They’re to make purples, but I guess yeah; they both have the red gene don’t they. They made a red headed baby :D

I wish they'd use Isabelle's morning announcements to tell you who is visiting that day rather than have endless stretches of the bad no news jokes. Like "Sahara is here selling rugs and Celeste said she's visiting later tonight"

 

You can easily miss someone if you don't scour every single inch of island. Especially Celeste.

More than being useful it would just be so much more positive than endless days of no news. It really fucks me off every morning. If there’s no news just don’t show me Isabelle. I don’t want to resent her.

Yup. No wonder she was so happy when Doom Guy showed up in town.

 

"Kept things in order, dying of boredom" indeed.

 

As it stands at the moment the announcement has two uses "Rarely advertising an event" and to reset the island at 6am if you're still playing. It just seems a waste.

Excuse the mess my island is going through a difficult period.

 

You will need a ladder to get to Redd's as I had to destroy the incline.

Is anyone who hasn't already been in a watering crew already available to help water mine? In the blue rose endgame now, I have spare cans, and I'm happy to come to yours in return too. 

 

Sahara is here if that sweetens any deal, and I have the usual pile of DIYs and 60-odd spare fossils if needed.
