How are people designing their islands? I haven't really planned anything. Mine just seems to be growing organically (fancy word for making it up as I go along). I don't like having dead ends though and my aim to always have a way in and a way out for each area, so that you can basically just keep running forwards without having to turn back.

Helle is open to friends. There's something like 37 recipes in the Bazaar to the right of the plaza, most are shit, some are not. I want them gone as tomorrow I'll be getting rid of my dino dupes so if any recipes are left over they're getting sold. If you want to leave any leave them on the gym beach directly south of the Bazaar or something so I know what new ones have been left.

 

Kicks is in the Plaza. he has green power suit boots.

Water my flowers to the left of Ables (there's a lot)  if you can be arsed, I know they're mostly in the wrong configuration, but I haven't got round to sorting it yet.

Everything in Nook's is fair game because fuck those guys and their yellow fridge for ther second time in 4 days.

 

So yeah, Helle is close to done. It's not as swanky as some of the islands, but I like it. I'll be AFK but I'll keep the connection open for a good old while.

Do you know if you have the diplo back legs? Not entirely sure what it's called in game.

I tend to use my beaches as paths a lot of the time so sweep the shells up frequently.  Have got 9 summer shells so far over yesterday and today plus 2 floor recipes that use them, 1 each morning from blue balloons.  Am guessing it will be a bit like cherry blossoms so there will be quite a few recipes in the end

@StumpyJohnLet me know when your island is next open as I have 3 items here for you ...save me posting them over a couple of days :)

My island is open and should be throughout the morning.  I'll be working so not active.  Just drop the items in front of my house so they dont get mixed up with my recipe swaps near the airport.

Nothing else interesting in Nookington this morning but please all feel free to raid shops

Not seen any activity for a bit so shutting up shop. I'll reopen tonight to see if anyone wants to come and pilfer the 20 or so that are left.

I've caught a couple of them, not used any bait either, I just check to see if there is a large shadow below the pier whenever I am near by

Caught my first a few days into May I think and have had once more since plus a few giant trevally all in the same spot

 

The spot is directly below the anchor in this screeny:

Am sure it is all just random, I've used well over 100 bait trying to get Golden Trouts and only managed to get one to hand to Blathers.  Still need 3 more for a CJ model

Weird, I've got a total of four after wandering the beaches for hours. For me they're showing up in a consistently rare fashion. I've been picking up and selling all the shells in the hope it would make them spawn, but I've no idea if that helps. I have an awesome animated sea flooring recipe I want to use.

 

I'll try the mid-pier bait throw, but yeah, I don't suppose it's anything but wonky RNG, like everything *COUGH*STILL NO REDD*COUGH*

Cheers, a friend of mine had similarly half a dozen yesterday but none since, so I wanted to check if there was some pattern..

I've been clearing the beaches on each time round also..  Guess it is just random.. maybe you just have days when none appear?
