last night at mine there was chat about the host getting extra star fragments if they had visitors wishing on the shooting stars so thought I would properly keep track today of how many I got.  Looks like it has quite a big impact as got 45 in total; 40 small, 3 large and 2 gemini

Anecdotal but I had a whole heap of junk on the beach for a couple of weeks and fly appeared maybe twice, both times I messed up or did not have a net with me.  I scrapped all that and put a single can in a grassy area and spawned and caught a fly in almost no time.

Likewise, got ants within 10 minutes of putting a rotten turnip down but my trash has been in an unsightly pile for days with nary a single fly

Because my 7 y/o daughter still has about seven wardrobes full of shit from our previous island all over the floor around her house, so KK isn't going to come until she's sorted that lot out. We spend enough of our time in real life telling her to tidy up, so it's not really how I want to spend my leisure time. We're nudging her and she's slowly getting through it, but I'd say I've got at least another week before there's any danger of getting three stars.

 

I'll try the solitary can approach. Got to say, if I was a fly I wouldn't be very interested in a tire or a boot.

I lucked into some hybrids from the beginning just from planting different flowers next to each other and then the spread of those got me a couple of the other colours. But now this last couple of weeks I’ve been trying to selectively breed some with putting specific pairs together and then plant the resulting ones into flowerbeds for getting clones out of. Then I filled those up so moved from just those flowerbeds to any spare little spaces around the island I can use. It’s carnage, I can now barely move for flowers!

Got my first green Mums today though. 
Trying for purple Pansies and Windflower next.

Ok, so I didn’t have the best luck offloading my clothes, so I’ve got a new plan:

 

 

Also furniture is a ball ache to picture and I can’t be bothered to try to sell things. 
 

My gate is open to friends now, Mystery gifts are to the left of the plaza, maybe only take 3 each to keep it fair? I’ll probs be AFK for at least a while, and even if not I’m not going to be the present police about it.

 

All presents contain furniture, including cute, diner, box sofa, box corner sofa and antique pieces. There’s also a phonograph, two chess sets, and two bags of 99k bells, obviously mixed with a healthy dose of smaller stuff I want rid of. 
 

The only thing I ask if that you don’t open them here and dump things you don’t want on the ground
